A dining experience is about good food and company. The kitchen team clearly work tirelessly to source high quality food which is beautifully presented. The taste combinations for us, which is an individual thing, didn't always work for our lunch taster menu. Whilst the setting...More

This is fine dining in one of the most unexpected places. As you'll see from TA the vast majority of places to eat in the East Neuk are cafes and fish n chip shops; The Cellar is amongst the best food anywhere in Scotland. Imaginative...More

Immaculate but understated decor, relaxed and cosy atmosphere. We opted for the lunch with paired wines and from start to finish this was an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely mouthwatering and the wines paired with each dish were inspired choices. The staff were friendly...More

While on Walking trip on fife coast - we took the opportunity to try the tasting menu, £60 for crab, rabbit, halibut, duck, and much more- a real experience with pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Pairing wines would be overwhelming at £50- some of the courses...More

We had lunch with matching wines. All courses were beautifully prepared and presented exhibiting a great mix of local and seasonal ingredients imaginatively combined. If you don't "slurp" some wine actually with the food in the same mouthful then I recommend you start now.. Sluice...More

Revisited a year after my last rapturous review. It's still just as good! Meticulously prepared dishes that really open your eyes to the skill involved in creating and combining striking flavours. Friendly, relaxed service. Faultless. And not expensive for what you get, appropriately priced I'd...More

Small unique Scottish Restaurant tucked away just off the main street in Anstruther. A historic little restaurant in the heart of the East Neuk. Was once used as a store by fishermen for there fishing nets. And also used as a smokehouse and cooperage. It was converted into a Restaurant over 40 years ago, and is now owned by local Chef Billy Boyter and his family. The Restaurant also has a small bar selling locally produced beer and a good selection of Scottish Gins and Whiskies.
