Visited the Watermill numerous times as I like the layout of the book shop. Decided to have a tea and coffee on this visit. Great selection of tea for the Mrs and great coffee selection for me. Decided to try the Lime and Courgette cake which was excellent. Staff very friendly and good service, and also not to expensive.

We visited on a cold foggy morning and enjoyed fabulous coffee and cakes after walking the dog. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, a young man and woman who were doing a sterling job of serving a busy cafe. Imagine our shock to see a woman appear, who was either the manager or owner, who castigated the young staff in... More

Browsing through books, enjoying the time to sit quietly and read them. Looking at the gallery exhibition Or just enjoying refreshments and coffee in the cafe; you can easily spend a whole day here and spend a whole lot😀 Access down to the cafe and toilets is down steep stairs to the lower level so that may be a bit... We come to the Watermill a great deal for coffees and lunches. Cakes are sublime, coffee very good, and while the menu is quite limited (rolls, salads, two choices of soup, a couple of platters) it changes regularly, there's a wood-burning stove and newspapers to read, and the staff are lovely. One of the soups is always vegetarian, the rolls... More

I love The Watermill and thoroughly enjoyed sitting having a Cafe Con Miel (sooooo good!) in the warm cosy Christmassy atmosphere. It was bitterly cold outside and lovely to feel welcomed. Also spent more than I expected in the bookshop after a very pleasant browse. It's unique and definitely recommended.

Very nice building just off the main street in Aberfeldy. The bookshop was smaller than I had imagined but made you want to browse because of the nice layout. The café downstairs is also quite small and tends to be quite busy but the coffee and bakery products were good.

I came to see the Wilhelmina Barnes Graham exhibition here. The Watermill bookshop , gallery and cafe had been highly recommended. Well I am sorry it does not live up to its reputation. The bookshop was very disappointing with very little choice and I cannot understand how it is rated one of the 75 best in the world. The building is... More

WOW, lovely atmosphere, excellent food and smart, friendly and efficient staff - this is so rare. The coffee and lime and courgette cake were delicious, so much so that we came back later for lunch! Again coffee was perfect and the seeded rolls filled with real carved chicken (no plastic slices here) and served with a salad garnish were yummy.... More

A wee gem of a place, cafe within the bookshop. Excellent coffees and wide range of specialist teas. Very tasty soups and sandwiches. Well worth a visit if only to browse the books and music.
