As a group of friends, we ate here twice during our visit to Fort Augustus. Great staff, accommodating and friendly. You won’t be disappointed with the good quality food and very generous portions !

My friend and I arrived quite late at The Lock Inn. We were served promptly even though it was busy with a party in the upper room. Tasty food and friendly staff.

Generous portions and very reasonable prices. My wife and I both had the smoked salmon, which was excellent. A friend had the steak pie which was both giant and deliciously meaty. Highly recommended!

With friends we had the pleasure of visiting this pub whilst passing through on the canal. Nice friendly welcome at the bar with good beers and great food. Very popular with the locals and we didn't feel out of place. Nice one.

Busy over the bank holiday but bar staff had it under control. Got a seat and meal after a while and food was good. All served quickly and efficiently - not too expensive. Overlooks lock and on a sunny day not to be beat

I only know this pub from a summer visit when it was mega busy. Parking is an issue as there are only about 6 spaces on the narrow one way street outside the pub. There is a pay and display public car park in the village... More

My wife and I visited the pub on a couple of occasions and, on both occasions, dogs were made welcome.
