Quaint pub in Fort Augustus. We heard the food was great there and we definitely weren't disappointed ! We had the hot smoked salmon and it was delicious ! They offer big portions at very affordable price. Plus, they have many type of whiskies that you can try ! We highly recommend it !

Loved the inside feel and the very nice crackling fire place... the food was really good and service was even better. Free wifi gave an opportunity to check in to the world in the middle of nowhere...

Having had a bad experience at a poor establishment a few doors before, we accidently discovered this wee gem! We were warmly welcomed (7.30 in March) The atmosphere was inviting with a roaring fire, the staff were pleasant and polite. A big selection of interesting specials on a blackboard, and a lovely menu offers something for all tastes. We had... More

Nice little stop off on our journey. Lovely wild mushroom brushetta. Nice little place to recharge the batteries with an open log fire

Stayed in Fort Augustus whilst travelling up to Sky. Pleasant location at side of canal. Decent pub food although not special. I chose trio of goats cheese which should more accurately be described as a duo. Cheese was overcooked and favoured cheese on toast. Sticky toffee pudding was ok. Not a great choice of places to eat so am sure... More

Very quiet on arrival(it was just after 5pm mind you), nice and warm though thanks to the roaring log fire. I had heard good things about the fish and chips and decided to give them a try. My partner had the slow roast lamb and potatoes. Neither of us were disappointed, very tasty food and good sized portions. We stayed... More

We had an evening meal here and found the food and service good. A;though the pub was busy we did not have to wait long. The menu has a reasonable number of choices and there is a specials board too. The fish and chips were particularly good. Reasonable prices too.

Had a drink and meal at this pub. Food was very good with reasonable choice and acceptable prices. I had the venison casserole which was tasty and filling. The fish and chips looked huge ! Right in the centre of the village and an easy walk to the majority of guest houses
