Perfect location if you have just moored up your boat on the canal. Food was very good, their butternut squash risotto was amazing!

Okay, the outside of this places doesn't look brilliant but I got a takeaway pizza for a very reasonable price, they were happy to swap toppings around and it was a lovely pizza. Would definitely use this place again. Very friendly staff, helpful and approachable.

I wish I would have read the reviews before we stopped. We were on a tour and had only a couple of hours. The tour guide recommended this spot so we popped in. We had a rather large group (7) and they got us a table quickly. The waiter approached and asked us how much time we had. We told... More

Ordered the fish and chips and it was disgusting - oily and tasteless. Waiter was extremely rude as well and made his impatience blatantly apparent - almost as if we were a bother by just being there! I don't usually post negative reviews but i felt the need to warn others about this terrible place - avoid at all costs!

I have never entered and left a cafe so fast. When we arrived (to the pretty empty cafe) we asked if we could get a table for 2 for some drinks. The waiter was the rudest I had ever encountered. He rushed us towards the front and asked us what we wanted. We of course said we didn't know because... More

The balding waiter is a muppet, food is ok, subtle undertones of racism heard when talking to some customers. Strongly suggest you avoid this place. Plenty better near by.

Never felt the urge to review before. Unfortunately the Moorings was so bad in our experience that I would like to warn other tourists from making the same mistake. The service was shocking. Waiter was rude, abrupt, unable to assist any of my family's questions regarding the menu and frankly seemed like we were a bother by just being there.... More

Probably the WORST cafe we have been to.The head waiter was....rude..impolite..impatience...pushy..and generally made us feel unwelcome. He told us we could not have tap water because it was not clean.!!! Wounder what they cook with?..This was jusy a ploy to sell us bottled water If you come across this... More

This place was crowded with tourists- and I was one of them. The fish and chips was good- with fresh fish. I have seen many bad reviews, but I enjoyed my meal here. The service could have been better.

... will be the last one! We travel up A82 every month from Lochaber so it's nice to have a place to stop and catch up with family and friends. We had stopped here before and food had been better than expected so we agreed to meet someone here for lunch. Admittedly it was heaving with tourists and they were... More
