Menu was typically pub food but good choice for mains. Food freshly cooked and puddings were lovely.

It's some years since we visited the Anchorage due to some bad experiences, the staff were friendly and food good and well priced.

Stayed at the Anchorage and meal on night one was included in package. Food was great quality so decided to eat from main menu on second night. Portions were generous and food was piping hot. Quality was fresh and the staff were very friendly without being obtrusive. Will be back

For £69 we got a 2 night stay with breakfast and a 2 course dinner which I thought was amazing. The hotel is dated but to be honest we did not mind. The early evening set menu with two courses for £10 is great value. Portions are over generous and high in quality.

Just back from a weekend break via a Groupon deal. After reading the reviews I was a bit worried about the bedrooms. Our room was simple, but it was clean with fluffy towels and clean linen. Nothing to complain about. I can't compliment the staff enough. They were so pleasant and helpful. A special mention for Jennifer who was on... More
