Walking distance from our B&B and discovered it 5 minutes before closing. They were able to pack up two cheese platters and some bread for our sunset hike which was perfect. The variety of cheese, bread, oatcakes, crackers at chutney given were so delicious, we came back the following day for lunch. Great spot!

Popped in expecting a fine selection of bread cakes etc. One piece of battered pizza on display and 1 dried out looking loaf!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice craft room upstairs but just wanted some lovely bread for tea! Went to the co op and bought some lovely still warm bread there!!!!!!! Really think the word Baking should be removed from the title of... More

Hello Thank you for your review. We are really sorry we let you down. Due to unforeseeable circumstance we were unable to bake a full quota on Monday. Please would you be so kind as to email me on iosbakingcompany@yahoo.com. We would like to rectify the situation and possibly give you a little faith in our usual service! Best wishes... More

Nice place to stop for a cuppa and amazing cakes. Lovely breads too. Not sure about the paper plates and wooden cutlery though.

Lovely handmade baked products in renovated traditional mill building. Very informal atmosphere, with paper plates and cups. Bright, modern decor. Upstairs is an Art Gallery, and Hand Crafted items for Sale. Great place to sit and while away the hours...

Looking at some of the reviews I would suggest that this place runs out of product quite quickly because it is so, so good. We have eaten there twice and saw how people come in and buy in volume. Just like us we had breakfast there and then bought loads of goodies, my wife is gluten intolerant and so we... More

Came across this artisan bakery at a market in Dunvegan. Bought bread with onions and black pudding fillings for lunch. So unusual and delicious . The owner / baker told us of his outlet in Portree so another lunch was planned! The bakery in Portree is situated on the Dunvegan Road and has ample parking. We chose another unusually filled... Stopped into this specialist bakery after seeing mentioned in some of the tourist brochures. Must say very disappointing experience, very limited fare on offer and surprisingly little in the way of bread products on display for an artisan bakery, wouldn't rate it on appearances mainly due to display (can't speak to taste). We had the orange/poppy seeds scones & tea/coffee.... More

Thanks you for your review...I know plenty of people will read this with interest so I will take the opportunity say a few general things. While I realise now that you were deeply dissatisfied, it is very difficult for me to remedy the situation from afar, apart from saying that we cannot please everyone all the time, though we really... Splendid bread and cakes baked on the premises! Try the bacon, leek and goat's cheese roll, fantastic! Also the oatcakes (also home made I think) are something special. Pleasant and friendly service, highly recommended.

A great new addition to daytime fare in Portree. Excellent new life for the Old Wool Mill and worth seeking out as it in a more utilitarian part of the village. Tasty selection of imaginative breads and cakes, by far the best in Portree, also biscuits and tablet. Good delicatessen type cheeses and venison salamis.
