We ate dinner there 2 evenings. As this is the end of the tourist season, the menu was somewhat limited. The food was great as was the service. Comfortable dining room and alert staff.

lovely food, lovely staff, quick and polite service in very traditional surroundings, very 1970's, but good fun, just a little bit expensive we felt

This was our best experience of a hotel meal during our two week holiday. The outstanding meal was the scallops dish which came with veg, potatoes, black pudding, asparagus and sauce. Wonderful. Lovely friendly staff and very efficient service.

Had my anniversary dinner here. The food was good but there was no ambience, it lacked atmosphere. Staff not particulary friendly apart from a tall young man in the restaurant who was great.

Traditional decor makes for comfortable and cosy surroundings. Menu of fresh local food. Cullen skink was a highlight.

The waiter was prompt and professional from greeting us to payment. He was efficient in the service he provided; we waited no time at all for any drinks or food. The service food were both brilliant but to improve an evening here even further, the...décor could do with an update as it looked a little tired and dated. Some background music would also have added to the ambience but the restaurant was busy enough that it didn't make a great difference. My fiancé and I were both torn between several starters, mains and desserts but the waiter was able to make recommendations, and he wasn't wrong! I'd had scallops several times already whilst on the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Harris but these were the tastiest! The salmon I had for my main meal was also delicious and just the right portion size - I had room for dessert! The dessert was absolutely fantastic, a real contrast of sweet and tart flavours; really refreshing. I'd definitely recommend the Harris Hotel, and give yourself some time to sit out the front in the beautiful garden too!More

Got in here at the last minute for my Husband's 60th Birthday on a recommendation. Sadly disappointing. I had a starte of Scallops and Stornoway Black pudding. Turned out to be 2 scallops and one skinny slice of Black pudding. It was however very good....For mains my Husband had a burger which he enjoyed. I had steak and ale pie with mash. It could have been very good but had very little seasoning so not much flavour, steak was a bit tough and pie bottom was very soggy. All in all food was just a bit average. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would I go back? Probably not.More

We had a lovely aniversay dinner , slendid half bottle of Rioja and most enjoyable desert. In a very pleasant dinning room overlooking the garden. Friendly efficient service. Good value for money

We called in on the off chance we could get a table on a Sunday and we were in luck. We were seated and served quickly. A special thanks must go to the young waiter, he was not only extremely attentive to our needs. He...was also really lovely with our 3 year old who insisted on giving him stickers to stick on his watch. The food was lovely, we both had Sunday lunch which was great and even had a Yorkshire pudding, which we didn’t know if it would or not with being very far from home! My cheesecake was among one of the best I have tasted. We will definitely be beach if we are in the area again!More
