We got a couple of 'top hats' after hearing so much about Zavaroni's. The ice cream tasted like ice cream did in the 80s but apart from slight nostalgia wasn't that impressive. The cone was pretty poor quality.

Had two scoops of ice cream. Raspberry swirl and coconut. The texture is not creamy at all. Flavor on the raspberry was ok. The coconut was awful. I threw it out. I have had great ice cream and gelato. I make it a point on all of my trips to eat it multiple times. This was not it. Save your... More

This cafe looked quite cool from the street. Stopped for lunch, just off the ferry, with the family. It was small inside and lacking a good extractor, so chip fat clung in the air. We had toasters and bacon rolls..which weren't great, coffee was awful. Service was friendly enough but didn't go back.

Visiting Rothesay on a coach trip to Scotland, (staying in Dunoon,) I was delighted to be able to go 'back in time' when my friend and I visited Zavaroni's Cafe. It was merely a lunchtime snack we wanted, (a very tasty Toastie!) so when we walked into Zavaroni's I was immediately transported back in time.....I used to live in Scotland... More

Well it's where to start really. Welcomed by a young lady by the name Paula. I thought good old good service had disappeared for good. Not now the service was cheerful, efficient courteous and certainly goes the extra mile to please. Thank you to Paula, Maggie and time the lovely locals who made me feel like a local lol x... More
