Visited here on the last night of our twixmas break in Arrochar. So glad we did! Fantastic little pub, friendly staff and really delicious food! It was nighttime so we couldn’t see the loch view but I imagine it’s lovely in the day.

A brief stop here for warm drinks. Wanted a coffee, but I was told there was none as machine was broken. We both ordered tea, then after we had it, I heard other customers being told they could have coffee – instant. That would have...been perfect, but I wasn’t even offered the option. It is a good location, with great views, but everything seemed a little disorganised and very slow for a Sunday lunchtime, so not sure I would try eating food here.More

Having read the negative reviews, had decided to go elsewhere, but considering our B&B was just across the road about a 4 minute walk, and to go to Helensburgh etc would mean driving and sitting drinking Irn Bru,decided to take the chance on this "horrible nasty" place, well to...start we entered and chose a table, there were a few whom i'd say where tourists at some tables with some locals sitting at the bar,i approached the bar to order drinks, there were around 4 or 5 FRIENDLY bar staff on duty,i was served quickly and back at my table within 2 or 3 minutes,we didn't order food as we had eaten in Helensburgh perhaps just about an hour and a half before, but looking at the food as the staff passed our table with dishes for the seated patrons, the food looked good and appetising, will definitely try their food on our next visit,by this time the bar had filled with quite a few more friendly but loud locals(i'll just say, coming from a Glasgow South Side housing scheme, loud regulars in pubs don't faze me)they even said cheerio to us when leaving,i think some of the 1 star reviews must be from folk who come from places where their pubs are a bit upmarket, "i would say" ,yes read the reviews,as i did,but certainly don't let them put you off,(i've been in much worse places in Glasgow) give the place a try,you may actually enjoy it.More

Lovely traditional pub. Low beamed ceilings and great atmosphere. The staff were lovely, especially the young blonde woman who coped very well serving and waiting a very busy bar lounge. She took time to chat with all the customers and had a great sense of...humour.More

We were staying at a nearby hotel and didn't fancy anything on the menu there so popped along to Ben Arthur's Bothy and glad we did. The food was great and plentiful. The service was probably the best ever even though it was busy. Big...shout out to Abbie and the rest of the staff .More
