Restaurant was very expensive (£120 for a burger, some scallops, 2 kids meals and 3 glasses of house wine) Overall unimpressed with the food which seemed bland, lacking flavour and greasy. Service was very friendly. Setting is lovely (probably even better in summer with the doors open) Being part of the Cameron House Resort, the restaurant has a bit of... More

Today we visited The Boathouse at Cameron House with our ten year old daughter. We were marking 13 years almost to the day ( 16th April 2004) when we married at Cameron House Hotel. We had a very average meal. I selected the mussels which were just okay, however could of been warmer. Supposed to be served with crusty bread,... More

Just had the most amazing meal. Staff and service excellent. Food is outstanding and would highly recommend the Lobster Mac & Cheese!!! Surroundings and attention to detail is first class. Had a coffee and drinks in the bar before hand and found it very relaxing and welcoming. Be back very very soon.

For a 5 star resort this place could do much better. The surroundings are very pleasant although the wooden construction makes it super noisy. Food lacks any attention to detail. The calzone was meagre, the thrice cooked chips were soggy and the children's burger came with a minimal single onion ring, not as advertised, something that my daughter immediately noticed!... Meal was disappointing, my Husband ordered the black pudding starter with egg which he thought would be warm it wasn't and the egg was missing altogether. He highlighted this to the waiter who disappeared and reappeared with a very cold hard boiled egg on the dish. I asked for my dressing for the mackerel to be put on the side... More

First of all, this is the most ridiculously overpriced restaurant I've visited. Now with the list of went wrong... Ordered scallops for starter to be told 15 minutes later there were no scallops(fair enough). Chose the black pudding starter(£9 by the way), when it came out it was cold and dry, the chorizo with it was like just putting salt... More

Our evening meal here was very enjoyable. We had to wait a little while for our food as it was busy but it wasn't too long. Food was tasty and cooked well. Our waitress was really helpful and friendly! Drinks always topped up. Our table was a bit wobbly which was annoying but didn't ruin the evening at all. I... More

We visited twice while staying in the hotel. We have been before on several occasions and always enjoyed it. Dropped in for a drink on a beautiful day and sat outside, lovely views and we were happy with the service and value. However, we returned the next night for dinner and were hugely disappointed to see the changes to the... More
