Very good menu and friendly atmosphere . Arrived after 8pm did not have a table booked. Ordered my meal and was served very promptly. Quality very good and a healthy potion which was exactly what I was looking for after a drive of over 4 hours.

We had a fantastic lunchtime in the Bladnoch Inn, the manager was a friendly Irish fellow named Derek, who kept us all engaged with his banter. We also had a nice lunch, which was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely hope to go back and spend an evening there.

I don't often leave TripAdvisor reviews but I was so blown away by our experience that I wanted to rate the Bladnoch Inn.....We arrived at the Bladnoch Inn after driving round (for what seemed like a week) with grumpy toddlers in our car, everyone tired, a bit fed up and hungry we took a gamble that this place may do... Reviews are supposed to encompass and reflect the whole customer experience so as well as commenting on the food and service I want to say something else about our visit. The meal was fine in itself, we only had starters as we had eaten at lunch time. We did have to remind the bar staff to bring us a menu,... More

Stayed at the Bladnoch Inn for one night, before entering a Mountain Marathon. The twin room was quite small but clean, tidy and adequate. The bar doesn't have a very good range of bitters (two) but the Inn is an attractive building with character and a friendly atmosphere. The food was good and, at £5.00 on 'Fish Friday', the fish... Visited Wigtown but sadly nowhere to eat in the evening there! B and B owner suggested this pub, it was very nice food and pleasant staff. Very reasonably priced meal and drinks. Could walk from Wigtown it's about a mile but v dark in October so chose to drive, would be ok in the summer t walk there.

Didn't eat here but had a few visits whilst in the area. Nice traditional pub where we felt very welcome.

Wigtown was a bit short of evening venues for food so, The Bladenoch was a real life saver! We had a nice meal in the bar and our dog was allowed to accompany us too. Service was good the food was nice too.

A group of us stayed here for the weekend during the book festival, and we ate here on the Saturday evening. The food is typical pub grub - hearty portions. What makes the Bladnoch special is the staff, who were probably the friendliest we encountered over the entire weekend. A particular mention for the young dark-haired barman, who was very... More
