The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired. It needs a good cleaning and some sprucing up. That said, I ordered a skillet meal. Potatoes with onions, peppers and mushrooms topped with crumbled sausage, eggs and cheese. It was very tasty. It was served with a bagel that was also good. Our server was efficient and kept us supplied... More

City east is one of the better local breakfast places around. Large selection of bagels and lots of untraditional menu choices. Both my wife and I enjoyed the lox and eggs. This time I had the salami scramble. The flavored creme cheese are also worth trying as most menu choices include a bagel. The lunch menu is also extensive.

Restaurant could use a through cleaning in the dining area. Looked dark and dingy. Wish the food was redeeming but it was little better than ordinary. Cold grits, cheese on the omelette instead of in it, toast just ok. All would be better if hot.

Went on a Sat AM for breakfast. Place is very busy. Food is very good and Service is good too. Prices are decent cost us over $25 with top. Food choices are great and good quality food. Definitely will go back to try the sandwiches.

Normally I wouldn't review places here in Memphis as I've become accustomed to poor quality food. Crunchy pieces of egg shell in the eggs, dry and barely warm hash browns, and the last half of my bagel tasted quite like fish. I can't explain this. Wish I had crossed the parking lot and had breakfast at McDonalds. On a positive... More

We have eaten here several times. Most recently last week. The bagels are always fresh and they also make their own bread. I usually get an Eggel, bagel, cheese, egg and bacon but decided to try eggs and oat cakes. The oat cakes were really good. They are denser than pancakes which made them way more filling. They also had... More

Waited a long time for our food, but it was hot and tasty when we received it. The oatmeal pancakes and potato hash were nice, but I was disappointed in the banana bagel (no banana flavor) as well as the omelette. Don't get cheese grits, either, as the cheese wasn't distributed well throughout the grits. I will go back, I'm... More

Was super excited to try this place. It took months to get my husband to agree based on comments he has heard. Once he finally approved trying it out, I stopped in and placed a to-go order. You could feel the chaos the moment you stepped inside. Certainly not a place to go to have a relaxing meal. Biggest disappointment... More

Today I had scrambled eggs with lox and onions. It was delicious, I substituted grits instead of hash brown potatoes. Had a jalapeno and cheese bagel everything was delicious. My husband had salami and eggs and my daughter had pancake breakfast. Pancakes were huge and fluffy. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The waitress was helpful and polite. The food came out... More

My wife and daughter had an incredible brunch today at City East. I had my favorite which is Salami and Eggs. The food is always good and the staff is friendly.
