The restaurant was very busy. There was a table for six available so we joined with two couples who were also waiting. Our orders were placed on individual tickets and we had good conversation while we waited. The food was very good. We all gave...More

Best food we have eaten in Memphis. Busy, popular place. Great service. Looks like a dive. But don't let that make you pass it by. So do most of of the eateries on Beale St.

I’ve been coming to Memphis for years now as we have family nearby. I’ve been to so many BBQ joints, restaurants, etc, most of which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. But as we were sitting at Blues City the other day for lunch, I said, “If I...More

Deep fried everything! From chicken to catfish the locals were ordering huge plates of fried goodies. We opted for some garlic prawns & toast which were lovely. Only soft drink or water options. Good Southern atmosphere

Couldn't go to Memphis without trying some proper ribs, and this place definitely delivered! Plus, it's joined to a blues bar with love music, so you can't complain about the atmosphere even when it's raining - you don't even need to go back outside!

Great place. Certainly seems somewhat run down on interior design but that is part of the charm. The ribs are absolutely gorgeous. The bar is well stocked and good drafts on tap. Service is attentive. Restaurant and music area are separated. You can eat and...More

Didn't try the eats, but really enjoyed the live music and probably too much beer. The crowd seemed to enjoy the music as much as we did. It was very busy, but everyone seemed to squeeze in and have a good time.

Food here is great. Gets really busy with queues out of the door so we knew straight away that the food must be really good and it did not disappoint. I had a half rack of ribs and the steak chips were delicious too. Highly...More
