Family stopped in for a drink very early one evening, but the welcome was bad, family were sitting in the bar eating their dinner when we arrived, and begrudgingly served us. Glasses were dirty place unfriendly and drinks VERY expensive.

The Royal Oak is one of two Felinfoel pubs just about hanging on in Aberaeron. But this one, despite a regular turnover of landlords, seems to be making a better fist of it that the back street Prince of Wales, presumably because of its main road location in town. It's a bit of a time warp pub and you get... More

What a wonderful pub to visit. The food is great with a wide variety of choice on the menu. The staff are always polite and willing to interact with you. Great place to go.

Called at Royal Oak with son and granddaughters for a meal, we were pleasantly surprised, the welcome we received was warm and the service excellent, the food is what you would expect to find in a pub, but every meal we ordered was cooked to perfection, the hand made chips were delicious, our two young granddaughters cleared their plates, as... Came here for family birthday. The food was not very nice unfortunately :-( very disappointed to be honest. Might try again at some point to see if there is any improvement. It surely couldn't get worse. But I am willing to give it another chance in the future

During our self catering holiday we decided on sunday lunch out. The Royal Oak in Aberaron catered for all our needs, dog friendly, children welcome and good food. Beth said it must be good the cook is wearing whites. Quaint pub right on the main street. No frills and no hassle.

This is the third visit in 3 years. Very poor. Will not return. Beef was tasteless. Such a shame as in previous years it was tradionally tasty with no frills

We (a family group of 7 adults) ate there for Sunday lunch. We had the Sunday roast (choice of lamb or beef). Portions were generous and food was well cooked, even the vegetables which are tricky to get right. The pub is very basic. They only took cash, not cards.
