Expensive, watch the extras as we landed ourselves with a £100 bill on top of the meal gift, but------ the 8 course taster menu with selected wines with every course, was amazing. Try to pay the extra to stay over as trust me you won't be able to consume all the dishes or move by the end of the evening!!!!... More

Took my wife for lunch to celebrate her 50th birthday. We decided on the A la Carte menu because there was such a good choice, it starts at £34 for three courses but some dishes do carry a small supplement. Excellent canapés taken in the lovely lounge area were then followed by, Scallops for my wife and red snapper for... More

We have read the brilliant reviews of this one star Michelin Restaurant so to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday we decided to book a table for lunch via Travelzoo's web-site. We paid £69 for two for the 6 course tasting menu.Enjoyed the dining experience, staff, food and service were excellent. Menu included very tasty pre-lunch nibbles, butternut squash soup, pate, scallop,... More

On arrival we were politely greeted and shown into the waiting area full of comfy sofas and a warm, open fire. After being served our drinks we were presented with a selection of canapés - all delicious! After a reasonable amount of time we were then escorted into the main restaurant where we began our 6 course tasting menu. My... More

We have eaten before a good few times at Tyddyn Llan and went to celebrate a joint birthday and anniversary last night. I would say we had a simply perfect evening. The food was just so delicious, amazing ingredients, cooked perfectly and served by such friendly knowledgeable staff. I was tempted to buy Brian Webb's cookbook but pretty sure I... More

At Dinner we had the 6 course winter taster menu and it was wonderful. Soup, langoustines, scallops, white fish, duck or venison, choice of desert. All cooked beautifully and you certainly did not leave hungry. There was a cadeau de chef of terrine which was superb too. There was a good selection of wines and the bottles of water were... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit for lunch. It was by all accounts an unusually quiet Sunday, for which the owner unnecessarily apologised. I usually hate dining in quiet restaurants, but somehow it felt warm and cozy rather than stark and uncomfortable. The welcome was warm, and we were led to the sitting room where we were served... Been back 3 times, and loved it every time. Each visit was with Travel Zoo vouchers, and we felt we were not treated any different, to full paying guests. We found the food fantastic (6 course tasting menu), but the portions are large, so you will need an empty stomach, to appreciate the tasting menu, properly. We have eaten in... More

Four of us went for lunch a while ago now. nice and warm lounge with fireplace where amouse bouch were served. Soon shown our tables and wine was poured. Overall three courses were average. Nothing really stood out. I have been to few other starred places and food at this restaurant did not feel that great.

We took our children and their partners as a treat to this restaurant as it had been recommended to us, but we waited for the special offer tasting menu to come up or it would have been a very hefty bill. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu, and we weren't disappointed, the only choice we had to make... More
