The food was hot and fresh. Good value all had a drink and a meal for 3 people and under 20 pounds. Staff are always pleasant.

I rarely visit Mold, so I just asked someone in the shop I was in if there was a Wetherspoons in town and I was directed accordingly. I've visited a few Wetherspoons these last few years and normally been satisfied by my visits, however I was rather underwhelmed by this visit to the Golden Cape. There was one staff member... More

I know expectations shouldn't be high but I was still disappointed with this visit. It was Burns night and they had run out of tatties for the neeps and tatties. It wasn't even 6pm and they had run out of a key component of a one off annual dish. And then there was the usual terrible service. The manager is... More

Popped in for a few drinks with my friends this evening. We are obviously aware that the gold cape is very strict with ID so we made sure we brought them, i was served by a lovely delightful young man who asked me and my friend for ID, which was completely fine because his smile was to die for so... Saturday 21 Jan, no Abbot, no Ruddles, no Doombar, 3 female staff behind bar no of whom is capable of pulling a pint properly. 40 minute wait for food. Heating turned down on one of the coldest days of the year. This place is fast becoming a shambles, I hope the area manager gets to grip with this fast, or... More

Half the beer pumps are empty not enough staff it's 5/6 degrees to cold most of the time as they have some sort of blower system that has a mind of it's own. The gents toilets are awash most of the day. The prices are good but not good enough won't be rushing back.

This place is excellent for a good British breakfast and alternatives or even just toast and preserve. Nice latte and tea. Breakfasts start at around £4-00 for two drinks and two toasts can't beat that for value.

Always end up here when coming back home to Mold as you know that you will bump into friends. Drinks prices are cheap compared to the other offerings within the town. And there's always a much better atmosphere. Only suggestion would be that they need to find a way to get more seating available. On a Saturday night, there's absolutely... More

Yes its NYE and a busy morning but the staff were rude and even a tad argumentative when I had to return something. I fear that this visit will be my first and last One to avoid if your in the area I think. Better smaller venues around
