A great place to eat and drink. Food was lovely and the garden had great views. Staff and owners were very friendly.

Great country pub with excellent food and choice. Service great and friendly welcoming staff. All four of us really enjoyed the whole visit, including a welcome change from the usual background noise of loud music for no reason and this time getting some great tunes that enhanced the whole atmosphere.

There is always a smile to welcome you when you walk through the door. The menu is interesting and the food is good. We all enjoyed what we ordered. There is an attractive terrace for good weather with a lovely view across the Vale of Clwyd.

When we get a babysitter we come here for dinner. There is no mobile signal, the wine is good and the food is excellent! Local produce and great atmosphere.

Very plesently surprised, the staff were very welcoming and although quite busy the food was served without delay and was very good. We will, i am sure return in the summer when we can sit outside with the wonderful views of the Vale of Clwyd. Many... More

We spent Easter weekend in the area and this was our closest pub, a 20 minute walk or the minute drive away. The service was very friendly straight away and we ended up eating here 3 times. The food was very good and over the weekend there were three different menus with meals for every taste including the vegetarian in... More

We decided to visit the Pigeons having heard that the former Chef had returned. It was supposed to be a flying visit for a quick tea. The food was excellent, honest and plentiful. Service was very attentive but not in your face as you sometimes get at restaurants. The real ale selection was very impressive as was the wine selection.... More

The pub had been recommended to us, and when friends were about to visit we tested it one afternoon for lunch. It wasn't the Ritz but both service and food were good. Therefore, we booked a table for dinner at a later date and were rather disappointed. Once again the service was fine but this time the food was average... More
