The Nags Head is easily the best place in Welshpool and the surrounding area. Food is really top quality, with an interesting and varied menu. In spite of this, it is also very well priced, everything is very similarly priced to nearby restaurants that don't...More

Went to The Nags Head Inn for a Sunday evening meal with my wife and 17 month old daughter. The staff were extremely pleasant and interacted with our daughter brilliantly, and the food was beautiful. Lovely place to eat and we will definitely be back.

My husband and I booked last minute on a Friday night. The restaurant was full and there was a warm atmosphere. Staff were helpful and friendly. I ordered the 8oz streak and my husband had the welsh lamb, both were stunning. Would definitely recommend.

The Nags Head Inn is steeped in all the history you might expect of a rural treasure. Originally known as The Nags Head Hotel, it was formerly a coaching inn for passing trade along the main trunk road from north to south Wales and has always been a destination on the Montgomery Canal.
