Sunday lunch treat. Beef served rare so looking forward tender meat but 3 of us found it hard to cut and difficult to chew. Small portion of roasties too and gravy thin so definatly not what was expected. Disappointed sorry. Pleasant setting and staff

I've only ever eaten pizza in the back room that is especially reserved for those wanting pizza. The ovens are traditional and the pizzas are cooked to order in front of the customers. There are many toppings from which to choose and the room is...More

This hotel serves great Sunday lunches. We shared mussels to start and then both had roast beef with Yorkshire puds and veg. The beef is served rare but you can ask for it to be well done if preferred but who would want to do...More

Good food and choice. The room was a little tired but the staff were excellent. This is the best pub food we had in the town of Machynlleth as other pubs that we tried were very poor. You need to go out of town for...More

An average luncheon with good friends in an excellent environment. My goulash was greatly appreciated and would recommend it to anyone. The staff were friendly and efficient.

We called in here on Monday for lunch, we couldn't see a menu posted on the exterior of the building but nonetheless ventured inside. The interior is wonderful, nicely preserved, lovely fireplace and tables all smartly set, terrific ambience within this fine historic building. The...More

Excellent wine, good beer and freshly cooked tasty food. My duck was excellent, the fresh vegetables, the chips with the delicious steak were freshly cooked not frozen, and my husband really enjoyed his first taste of lobster

This had good reviews but our pizzas were decidedly average. Service was prompt and staff were helpful though.

The Pizzeria can be a noisy place when there are lots of people there. The staff were polite and efficient and pizzas are made to order. I had a 4 cheese pizza which was tasty but £10 is far too much to pay!

No real negatives about this place (the pizza café round the back) but not a lot of stand out positives either. I had the calzone which was a bit on the bland side as was the wine. It was a very quiet night too which...More

Hello, Sorry for the late reply. Yes, we are dog-friendly, which means that doors can eat with their owners, so long as they are not too wet and smelly or disturb others. You may meet Jasper, our terrier, when you come.
