Good food and good drinks. Especially Pina Margarita, made with fresh pineapple instead of cheap fruit syrups, as in many restaurants. Inconvenient beach beds. Also did not like that for every single beach bed you must spend a minimum of 200 pesos, that is, if a family of 4 people, as I have, we must spend a minimum of 800... More

We came down to the beach after lunch to enjoy the waves, some beers, some chips and people watch. We met a beach kitty that was very sweet and treated her to a fish lunch. I think the staff thought we were crazy but they happily complied with our request. LA Perla is a wonderful place to watch the sunset... More

A restaurant on the beach and friendly service. The servings are big and the food selection is a plenty. The best place to watch the sunset.

Had huge, tasty shrimp watching the sunset, with a beautiful girl seated next to me. What could be better? But watch out, as soon as the sun sets, the mosquitoes come out of the sand and eat you alive. Timing is everything.

Good guacamole and okay service here on the beach. The guac has cucumbers here... which seems to be the norm in the area. It's quite good.

My boyfriend and I were called ‘ladies’ and asked to leave. If you care about equality and human rights, do not visit this bar. We stayed in San Pancho – a rather nice, liberal and open minded town near Puerto Vallarta – and visited La Perla, which is right on the beach. We turned up one day and sat on... More

The service was very slow both for drinks and food. Enquiries as to the ETA for our drinks/food was met with a distinct "chill out" attitude conveyed without a word of English. Considering how dependent they are on gringos, it would be helpful if the servers at least had what I call "menu English" - we certainly attempt to have... More
