Our local cafe. My husband loves their pies and brownies! I love their cakes and often order whole cakes from there for occasions!! Red velvet is superb!!

Dropped in for lunch while wandering Darling Street. A great lunch stop. We had the Berlin Burger and the Pumpkin Soup. Both dishes were generous in portion size and full of flavour. Great service in a cosy little cafe. Beware of the cakes and pasteries selection, its extensive, home made and a danger to the waist line.

Local place that is always busy. Staff are friendly and ready to help. I think the pies in here are the best thing on the menu by far

My husband and I had lunch at Cafe Berlin recently and it was not a pleasant experience at at all I ordered eggs Benedict with bacon. The bacon was burnt and inedible,I asked for another serving of bacon not burnt and again it turned up burnt and horrible which I could not eat. On leaving I spoke to the owner... More

There is a reason why this fantastic cafe has been around since 1984 ,,consistently good service, food and ambience. The family run business has the most delicious daily baked cakes, great burgers , smoothies and coffee, but my favourite is the mushroom, spinach and feta omelette! Servings are always generous and the staff always friendly . In a strip where there is a lot... More

After catching the ferry from Circular Quay to Balmain East Wharf and walking up Darling Street enjoying looking at the old and new houses we decided to stop at the Cafe Berlin for a bite of lunch. It was very windy and cold so we sat inside which was warm and cozy. Service was very good and the food very... More

I am a regular at Cafe Berlin, but more so in the winter months because of their home made pies, frittatas and quiches. Throughout the year I pop into to see Heidi and Jo for great coffee and home made cakes (carrot muffins and lemon iced cupcakes) but the pies are unbelievable!

While staying in Balmain we visited Cafe Berlin several mornings to grab a quick bite before heading into the city. Each visit was a positive experience. The service and food was good. To build our own breakfast we would order eggs and add different sides depending on our preference that morning. The fresh squeezed orange juice was tasty! We popped... More
