We were have a delayed Xmas get together with family. We chose the restaurant because of the location and also because on calling they'd said they could easily manage coeliac and garlic allergy issues. It was amazing. Not one thing we wanted to order was unavailable due to having been precooked. The front of house staff were well informed, helpful... More

Ate at Tokio Fans minutes before but received rubbish service and mediocre food, so left hungry. Walked 10 seconds and got a table at Il Lago, where the service was immediate and engaged. Recommended wine was fantastic, the food came at a good pace and let the ingredients be the star. Desserts were a highlight, with the cheeseplate a great... More

I'm not sure if Il Lago has changed hands but three years ago it was wonderful. I've revisited twice in the past three months and it has been nothing other than sub-standard. Overpriced, and the quality and range of the meals has definitely deteriorated. I ordered seafood linguine but the pasta was not linguine and despite a plethora of squid,... More

This is obviously a very popular restaurant. It's in a great lakeside location, with friendly staff, and attracts a lot of great reviews. However, to be honest I was disappointed by my mains – the confit NZ salmon fillet. Though attractively plated, it was almost devoid of vegetable/salad items other than for about 4 asparagus sprigs. At $35 it was... More

I have been here twice now, once with a friend for lunch and once with my partner for dinner. Both times the service was friendly from the moment we walked in, and the the food was amazing. Every dish we had was cooked to perfection and delicious. This place gets very busy so I'd definitely recommend that you make a... More

A lovely restaurant on edge of lake at Norwest. Met with friends and really enjoyed our lunch and chat. We ordered off the lunch menu. Two had barramundi with greens and other had steak and veges. One barramundi dish was ordered gluten free. Lunch meal comes with nice glass of white or red wine. Enjoyable and would visit again if... More

The very best thing about this restaurant is the staff, they do an outstanding job in providing excellent customer service. That is not to say that there are not other good aspects to this establishment because there are several. The location is around the lake at Bella Vista and it is a very enticing location indeed, well worth the visit.... More

We really enjoy dining at Il Lago. The food is always delicious, especially the handmade pasta. The staff are friendly, and there are activity sheets for the children and a kids menu too. We love coming here as a family for some authentic Italian hospitality.

Lamb rare and succulent. Veges with a crunch and made to order pizza. Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir a perfect accompaniment. It was an incredibly busy night & the staff rose to the challenge. Well done! Thank you guys 👍🏾
