The Bathers’ Pavilion at Balmoral Beach has the most amazing chef. The presentation of the food is incredible. Plus you get to dine overlooking a beautiful beach (with views to North Head). A popular inner harbour beach with locals. Balmoral is located in the upmarket suburb of Mosman on Sydney’s north shore about a half hour from Sydney’s CBD and... More

We wanted a fantastic location to celebrate the joint 60th birthdays for interstate friends and Bathers Pavillion certainly delivered. The view from the restaurant is just wonderful and our timing was perfect, allowing us to watch the day slide into the night with an ever changing panorama. The food is expensive but was some of the best fine dining we... More

We dined here on a Sunday lunch for my husbands birthday, so we braved the traffic from the inner west. It took an hour to get there and parking was $9 per hr so it was not a good start. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with optimum beach views and refreshing sea breeze for warm days. I could have... More

They have set price menus - 2 or 3 course $90 or $110 (no drinks). The food was over the top fancy with no substance or enjoyable flavours. The service was very good as was the view of the beach but I wouldn't give you $5 for each of the courses I had. At a table of 4 of us... More

I've been to the bathers cafe many times (and it's great) but last night was my first meal in the fancy part. It's a class act. The service is excellent and the food is amazing, yes its posh and no it's not cheap but it's fine dining done well. Had the tuna tartare, blue eye trevalla, coconut meringue. Yummo.

We had coffee and cool drinks here this morning. Everything was lovely - the welcome, the service, the view, the ambiance and, of course, the drinks! Although we didn't have anything to eat because we were going elsewhere for lunch, the food being served around us, from pancakes to a fruit plate, looked so delicious that we decided to return... Let me preface this review by saying I'm not a big fan of "hatted" style restaurants. I wasn't overly impressed by this one either. Pumpkin and goat's cheese canelloni entree was quite nice although I do think they tried to mix too many flavours on the one dish. Mains were disappointing especially the blue eye trevalla with the crab jelly... More

I have to go to Bathers each time I visit Sydney - a lovely building (an old bathing pavilion) located on the beach at Balmoral serving good wholesome everyday food. It is so popular you might have to wait for a table, but put your name on the list, go for a wander, and it is worth the wait. Be... More
