We arrived about 7:30pm. Live music was playing but a little loud to talk. Server was excelllent. Food was so good. My son said his sirloin was as good as Ruth's Chris. We also had great catfish, fried pickles and BBQ pulled pork.

Beautiful view, and waitstaff was amazing. However: food was terrible and not worth the prices charged. Extremely disappointed in this restaurant. Will not be back.

We have rented houseboats from Holly Creek Marina for over 12 years. We did not know this place existed until 4 years ago we decided to take the ski boat and visit every other Marina on Dale Hollow. We now make this a required trek each year! I don't know about the dinner service-and I am not sure I would... More

With the exception of the kids meal, this was an extremely poor dinner outing. The ribs were tough, the portions tiny, prices entirely too high and the service slow. There are much better restaurants to go to in Byrdstown. We rarely make a negative review, but this was definitely warranted. Avoid at all costs.

Love the smoked pork and chicken. Cold draft beer. Prices are high, but I guess it's all about the location. Would be much better if beer prices were a bit less. Get a pitcher - saves you alittle.

Took the family to dinner on Sunday evening to the Pier 42 restaurant at Sunset Dock on Dale Hollow Lake. You can't beat the sunset view and most amazingly the food matched the view. My wife ordered the catfish platter with green beans. I had a spicy chicken (kicking chicken) with fries. She definitely got the better end of the... More

This is not the world's greatest restaurant by any stretch of the imagination but it helps to remember, people come here for the lake, boating, fishing, water skiing, etc... Sonya and I ate here twice last weekend while staying in a cabin at Sunset Marina and both visits were fine. Friday night we had an appetizer and shared a rack... More

This restaurant is located on the pier at Sunset Marina, which is a nice location and a nice view (day and night). We ate here 3 times within the week (once for lunch, once for dinner, and once for drinks/appetizers) and just thought it was okay. The servers are friendly, but either understaffed or not trained very well. It was... More

Stopped at Pier 42 for lunch this afternoon just before heading back to FL, following our annual houseboat vacation on beautiful Dale Hollow Lake. My husband, two teenage daughters and I all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the grilled chicken salad, which was full of fresh, crisp lettuce and veggies, topped with perfectly seasoned and grilled chicken breast. My... More
