Barely adequate. Service was extremely friendly. I had the buffet. Fried chicken was very dry. Pulled pork was quite good and they offer a wide range of sauces. Very tasty dressing was quite misplaced. Mac and Cheese was an odd color so I passed on it. Same with what might have been mashed potatoes. Salad bar seemed to be an... More

Thanks for your review, we apologize for your less than desirable experience. We are not always up to par, some days we do have off days in some areas, and we apologize for that. As you can see from other reviews, this is not up to our normal higher level of service. More

We had a great time- room was comfy and plenty large. Beds were excellent. Some of the trim on the door was broken but otherwise good looking. Only problem was lugging the bags up from front and then around to the back and having to park my car next door. Don't forget to go to the awesome store next door-... More

My family of four enjoyed a decent breakfast at the Smoke House Lodge. It's an interesting establishment. Like Cracker Barrel before there were Cracker Barrels.

We get compared to Cracker Barrel often, and that is flattering because we think that CB does an outstanding job all around. Our business is family owned and operated, started in 1960 by our father Jim Oliver. Family recipies, home cooking, fresh foods from local gardens. More

We ate here an hour before closing on a Sunday. Hubby had just the soup, which was simmering in a huge iron kettle next to the salad bar and buffet. It was vegetable beef with lots of veggies, not sign of beef, but beef broth. I ordered the buffet, wanting to try the different types of BBQ and smoked meats.... More

Our cast iron cooking is very popular with most customers, and yes it is grandma's recipie, which we still use for the corn bread, bread pudding, and many of the other foods we serve, including the beef & Vegetable stew. More

The brisket could have been smoked and needed more rub also choices of bbq sauce not the best selection. However the brisket was tender just lack flavoring. @1 Being from Texas I'm used to hickory or mesquite wood. The catfish needed more seasoning and the fried green tomatoes were too greasy.

Thanks for your review, we're sorry that you felt that the food was not to your liking. Our smoked meats usually get the most rave reviews. The beef brisket is smoked and rubed, maybe you got some that lost it's flavor prior to serving. We have over 30 flavors of BBQ sauce- mustard - catchup - wing sauce & vinegars... More

Love this restaurant/buffet. The restaurant offers a full menu as well as a buffet. The salad bar was good but no spinach or romain lettuce. They did offer seasoned kale which was good. A local favorite. Full menu or buffet choice. Average choices and food quality but at a good price. So what's the big draw? The large selection of BBQ sauces. If you like hot then you must try one of the "Blazin' Rectum" brand sauces. The name says it all.

Blazin Rectums is HOT for sure, and we have about 10 flavors that are hot and mild, about 40 different sauces in all. We also have Blazin Rectums jams, chocolate dessert topping, mustard, catsup, salsa, and wing sauce. More

We had eaten here a few years ago and since we were passing by on a recent trip, we decided to stop in for a late lunch once again.
