I am so disappointed in this restaurant. I am a local in Barwon Heads and my husband and I got married here a few years ago, it has always been our go to restaurant when friends and family come to visit and I was hoping...to have my 30th birthday lunch there this weekend. Today I received a call informing me rudely that due to covid restrictions they cannot have a table of over 10 (I had 12) and that I either needed to reduce numbers or cancel. I asked for two tables of six but they said they were at capacity. This means that they have taken on more guests than they were allowed to with the hope of restrictions easing and now we were the ones paying for it. With only 3 days notice which is absolutely ridiculous, I am now unable to book anywhere else. Very poorly handled, bad customer service and unorganised seating plans. I will be sharing this with other friends in the area. Won’t be making future bookings.More

The Chef’s Selection is a must! The menu is beautifully balanced and is of the highest quality. You will certainly not go hungry and every dish is flavoursome and cooked to perfection. You also must try the Amaretto Sour cocktail, you will be going back...for more. Or indulge with the cheeky warm ‘Happy Camper’ cocktail, it is delicious. Perfect night with friends and the friendly staff make for a great experience.More

We visited here late one Sunday afternoon for a cup of tea and couldn’t resist the sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream. Best we’ve ever had! The wait staff were so genuine and friendly. Wish we lived near so we could come back to...try the seafood!More

A very lovely place for a meal. Ask for a window table to enjoy the water views ambience. I had the seafood platter for $65. It had 4 oysters, 4 pieces of fresh salon, seared tune, 8 smoked mussels, 4 crumbed panko prawns and 2...small fried softshell crabs. It was ample for 1 person. It would nice if a small salad accompanied it. The banoffee trifle was very disappointing. The modern take of trifle had me completely baffled. There were no 3 layers. Small cubes of banana bread, jelly and fudge were scatter on runny custard in a cocktail glass. Did not taste good. The vanilla pannacotta was pretty and delicious. Good coffees.More

We had a family dinner at The Heads and were all blown away by the quality and taste of the food, the friendly service (especially from Nicole). The seafood platter was so delicious we had to order another. The blue swimmer crab linguine was one...of the best pasta dishes I have ever had - everybody tried a bit and all agreed it was very special. The value for the money was truly there for food of this quality and quantity. The view out over the ocean was also amazing. Great place to have a special night out!More

We have been to At The Heads many times. What draws us back is the casual atmosphere, good food and spectacular service. Our entree of Wagyu was out and out fantastic. A melding of flavors and textures and colors. Yum! The Seafood Platter was good...without being spectacular. A little salt and a lot of lemon would have made such a difference, but at $65 it was certainly good value. But the service - from the warm and beautiful smile when we arrived, and the extremely friendly and attentive table service made us feel very welcome and very special. Thank you Michaela! We will be back!More

Booked ahead for 1 pm arrived 10 mins early, welcomed, seated would you like water, waiting, waiting, still waiting. Another waited asked if we’d like water then it arrived. Ordered entree and mains - after 40 mins asked where is entree, will check but obviously...forgot to (place half empty by now) asked again then panic. Entree arrived after 50 mins along with apologies, just finished then mains immediately so not good enough. Wines by glass were very ordinary. We weren’t charged for entree but overall our celebratory lunch was spoilt by poor service. Whoever was running the restaurant during that session had little quality control over service management. We will go back but last chance guys.More
