Fantastic hotel in the heart of Healesville, well worth the pretty country drive. Great lunch options, barbecue in the beer garden, casual dining in the bar or fine dining in the restaurant (booking recommended for restaurant)

Decided on the bar for lunch on a 40 degree day. Excellent choice. Bar was cool with friendly staff. A good choice of beers on tap. We had the fish and chips, salmon spring rolls and roasted cauliflower. All food was exceptional particularly the cauliflower....More

We hadn't been to Healesville for many years and were decided to drop in for a beer at the Hotel. It has been refurbished and was delightful to have a craft beer at the bar.

We visited this restaurant recommended to us for lunch. Excellent fish and chips, large portion and good value for money. Nice atmosphere too and good service.

The hotel room is wildly overpriced for what they offer. For AUD 180.00 per night you get a relatively small room with no toilet or shower (common toilets and showers further down the corridor), no safe, and not even a proper wardrobe... The restaurant was...More

The food at this restaurant was really good. We especially enjoyed the lamb and the cauliflower. The afternoon we stopped to eat there was only one waiter trying to manage the indoor area by himself. It was very busy and the poor guy was running....More

Sadly this beautiful venue was disappointing in the end. The beautiful lamb shoulder was delivered cold and the service left quite a bit to be desired. A great venue with an amazing menu but did not deliver on this occasion. It looked amazing and we...More

Aesthetically this hotel is wonderfull. Quaint bar and the beer garden is laid back and a haven from the sun with its natural shade- family friendly and sort of cool. Unfortunately we had the lamb shoulder which whilst flavoursome was cold. We did ask for...More

Old world charm with new world style, this classic country hotel is at the heart of the Yarra Valley. We are now offering great food, seven days of the week using the best of the season and region. Choose from a selection of smaller snacks and tastes to nibble on with your glass of local wine... Next, let us carve some of our famous K&B charcuterie; Italian parma ham, bresaola, Spanish salamis, and our house made pork, veal and pistachio terrine... served with crusty bread, little pickled vegetables and caper berries. Our kitchen are slow cooking local lamb shoulders for 12 hours... and roasting local Berkshire pork belly. Finish with Sophie's selection of perfectly ripened cheeses, hand picked from our copper cheese cabinet in our providore, Kitchen & Butcher. Our new menu also features hearty classic 'pub style' dishes to satisfy the hungriest diner.
