Incredible food at a reasonable price, having been to Thailand before this is truly the first American Thai restaurant I have ever been to that serves authentic Thai meals. Would recommend without reservation. Only thing they're lacking is Chang and Singha.

We are new to Nashville, so one of our first questions was to ask where we could find the best Thai food. From several different circles we heard, "The Smiling Elephant, hands down." My husband and kindergartner and I headed there one evening and were not disappointed. The staff was short that night, but the food did not disappoint, whatsoever.... More

This small restaurant is a gem, both food and service. I love curry dishes so selected their daily curry (they offer a different curry flavor each day) and it was Karee Curry. I've not had it before and loved the light, almost citrusy flavor. I'm looking forward to returning soon to try something else new! Only downside is the size... More

On my two visits to Nashville, I found it worthwhile to drive extra miles to dine at the Smiling Elephant! Great soup and Pad Kee Mow.

Authentic Thai food. The owners took the time to chat with us. Even went so far as to bring a plate of veggies in the shape of a smiley face for our 3 year old grandson. The daily curry special is spot on. The place is small and personal. Parking isn't the best. Off hours dining is your best bet... More

Started off with the basil peanut rolls based on other reviewers - was not disappointed. Very fresh and tasty. Also had the chicken dumplings appetizer. Also excellent. I got the chicken pad Thai with rice noodles. It was very flavorful and not too spicy. So good. Husband got the daily special - panang curry. The waitress said it would be... More

We ate here on a busy weekend, so had a short wait. It was pleasant outside and many other groups were laughing and talking. We were able to look at menus and decide on our favorites. Once seated, service was fast and efficient and the food was excellent. We loved the daily curry chicken and pad thai. The curry was... More

Authentic Thai in easy atmosphere. Nice vibe, good eats and enjoyable night. It is bustling so expect a bit of a wait for a table.
