The service was especially great. The manager was very helpful and waitress was great. The food was even more amazing and when I thought it couldn't get any better, the homemade torrillas came out! All around great experience

I was staying in a nearby motel and the restaurant was an easy walk. The food was good, the service was good, and the prices were fair.

The place is located behind Walmart. It's a hidden gem but very easy to get to. The ambience was pleasant, nice Mexican style decor. Their bathroom was clean. The music was soft, felt like I wanted to dance along with it. The servers worked together and were very helpful and friendly. The food was very good.

Close to my hotel, so decided to give it a try. Had dinner one evening with a chicken mole dish - very good, I'd order again. Had breakfast the day I was leaving; 2 types of breakfast taco's. Both excellent. I will go back again if I am in the area

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Bastrop. They feature traditional dishes at reasonable prices. I love that they serve breakfast all day. They have some of the best vegetarian enchiladas I have ever had. No worries meat eaters. Plenty of meat, chicken, fish and seafood on the menu. Especially their authentic shrimp cocktail, reminds me of being in Puerto Morelos, Quintana... More

Austin and Houston are both full of amazing restaurants, but one of my favorite mexican food places is in between the two, in Bastrop. Seeming to blend a taqueria with a TexMex joint, El Nuevo is solid, no frills mexican food from top to bottom. They are always fast (I've never waited more than 10 minutes) and the quality is... We're in Bastrop to celebrate our family weekend. We wanted to try Texmex and we found the restaurant near our hotel. It was our early dinner and it was still early, the place was not busy. Our hostess/server was a friendly and lovely lady. We were seated right away, gave our order for drinks. We had corona beer, light Margarita,... More

We have started eating at a fairly new restaurant, El Nuevo in Bastrop, Texas. The food is very good and is priced in the medium range. I have never gotten a bad meal there and we've gone at all times of the day. They have a lunch menu and a breakfast menu as well. I recommend the crispy beef tacos!... More

Food was alright, with the exception of the rice and beans, which were tasteless. Tortillas were good, but we weren't served a stack of flour tortillas like tex mex restaurants I'm used to. Not bad for a quick dinner, but not sure I'd return if I was in bastrop again.

Thank Katy S
