My husband and I consider ourselves oenophiles and we were so amazed to enjoy a Texas wine as good as we found at Messina Hof. We enjoyed the Private Reserve Reflections of Love at dinner and purchased another bottle to take home to enjoy. Our server was informative, congenial and extremely attentive. Our meals were some of the best 5... More

We have eaten at this restaurant several times, nearly always for dinner. Though a bit high, it is always very enjoyable and the food is delicious. This time, we went to Sunday Brunch after church. The brunch is quite reasonably priced for the atmosphere of the place (Restaurant surrounded by vineyards). There is no buffet, but all items are ordered... More

We joined two friends for a wonderful wine tasting experience. There were several tasty num nums to go along with the various wines that were available for tasting. There were quite a few folks there, so lines formed, but it wasn't so bad as it was open for attendance certain hours that precluded everyone coming at the same time. It... More

Good choice of wine and food in a very pleasant setting. Food portions were very large so be prepared to share unless you want to-go boxes. Well worth the trip.

Messina Hof is named for the Italian and German roots, respectively, of the vineyard owners. Everything about the establishment goes back to these roots, from the biblical quotation on the dining room wall (I am the vine and you are the branches) to the family photos to the family crests. The decor is unusual and a bit baroque--dark wood (as... More

While the restaurant is a little pricey, the food is outstanding and the wines produced at the winery were first rate. It sounds expensive but the Chateaubriand for two at $131 is a decent value. For that, you get their house salad, a 16 oz. filet for two, sides, a bottle of wine and a flambe dessert for two. With... More

Love this restaurant.. It is at Messina Hof winery, and always has fantastic food and wines to go with it! The restaurant has wine barrels in the room which give it a nice coze atmosphere and feel to it! Would recommend dining here any time!

Beautiful atmosphere. We enjoyed a few glasses out on the back patio that faces the pond. I feel as if the patio could use some work/landscaping/cleaning, but the ambiance was over all enjoyable. This is likely my favorite winery in Texas. Do not expect Napa Valley standard. The staff was friendly and the wine was above average. I will likely... More

Went with my mother in law and sister in law. Had wine sampling and the cheese board is great. Limited indoor seating. Outside is a turtle pond. We had a good time.
