He had a carne asada steak and I had steak in a tomato sauce base. Other people appeared to be enjoying their food; we just weren't impressed, and... More

We are always looking for new places for Sunday breakfast in B/CS on a football weekend - hopefully away from the crowds also visiting the area and creating enormous waits in other restaurants near the University. My daughter heard about La Carreta from friends, so we gave it a try. Although deep in Bryan, the restaurant is very small so... More

second time to visit. Breakfast is consistently great and filling. Great value and very pleasant service. Character and consistency - a top favorite for my morning visits to my kids at school. 01/17/2016

A nice lunch spot. The service is prompt and friendly. Very reasonably priced. One Picadillo, one nopales & eggs, and one beef fajitas taco was what I ordered. The Picadillo was a little greasy but very tasty. All three tacos were good and I wish I could have tried all of them. The chips were homemade and excellent. The brown... More

Stopped here on our way to Houston from Dallas. Service was friendly and fast - typical Mexican fare---had stuffed avocado and chalupas and both were satisfying.

We stopped on the way through town for breakfast. Husband got the huevos Ranchero and I got the huevos Mexicana. Both came with generous meat portions all for just 4.99. Chips and 2 kinds of salsa were promptly brought to our table when we arrived. The salsa and sausage both had smoky flavor, a little too strong for our taste.... More

Easy access to Hwy. 21 back to Austin. The service was good but still bland to my taste. The parking wasn't to good, but they had napoles, but no egg whites, or the waitress didn't understand.
