We came here after a football game (Several hours after the game) and had a beer, played a game or three of 42 with friends. We were going to eat, but could never find anyone to order food from, lots of people running around, but no one could bother with us, could not even get a second beer. Went there... More

I took my mother there as a college station experience, extremely disappointed. The food was horrible, the guy at the counter was very rude and impatient and it smelled so bad inside we had to sit outside. My children were covering their noses with their shirts ( that should have been our sign to not even order). I do not... More

The food was pretty good but the place was packed. It was a game day so there was no place to sit. I wouldn't go there again on a game day because we had to sit outside and eat our food and it was cold that night.

Was attending a ballgame and had been referred to here by a friend......It's 'bar food' so don't expect fine dining......You walk up to a counter (well wait in a line on game day), place your order...when it's done they call out your name......We both had a double cheeseburger and it was excellent......Was it the best I ever had, no, but... Good food, not actually known for chicken. Burger and fries are great. Pub atmosphere. Great place to stop

30+ year return to a cool restaurant/bar across the street from Texas A&M. Good food and drink, friendly staff and patrons on a Thursday night. Be sure to secure PAID parking. Our car was towed by the nearby convenience store while we were inside...to the tune of $298.00. Ended the night on a bummer...

It was packed on game day - you walk up to a counter to order your food and everywhere else is the bars - there's pool tables too (and a rattle snake window yikes!) Loads of outdoor seating too.

Don't eat anywhere else if you have one meal in College Station. The Dixie Chicken is an institution (even for non-Aggies) and is super cool for lovers of Texas honky-tonks. Behind the pool tables, there is a plexiglass cage with a 5 foot rattlesnake. The food is really good too.

Great place to eat when visiting Texas A&M. Went in for chicken but switched over to a very good old fashioned cheese burger. I really liked their choice of music, good old country.

Want a pitcher of beer - you have to take a friend as one person can't purchase one in Texas. Get a table when you come in and then get your beverages and order your food. Peak times it's crazy packed. We were in on a Friday afternoon prior to a TN - A&M football game. You can order a... More
