With several couples we visited 814-A Texas Bistro a couple weeks ago and all of us were delighted at the experience. Took another couple for dinner tonight and, to our amazement, were equally delighted. Its a small place with a very limited menu (three entrees and a three or four salads or appetizers) but delivers in every regard. The salads... More

Food is always amazing here, chef owned and operated with an often changing menu with fresh ingredients. Call ahead for reservations to guarantee a fabulous brunch or dinner. Best burgers in Comfort. Will always return. Thankyou.

After reading previous reviews, we decided this was a "must" place. We were not disappointed! The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding! A word to the wise: be sure and make reservations. The capacity is not that large and we observed many potential diners that were turned away.

Excellent food! We came to eat here after a long day exploring the Texas Hill Country. They allowed us to bring in our wine we bought in Fredericksburg for a $20 corking fee. The filet was cooked perfectly and the cobia was also perfect! Just great! Highly recommended

This French Canadian, who is fortunate to be living in Comfort TX now, returned with friends to the Texas Bistro last Saturday evening to enjoy walleyed pike which can only be found in fresh waters up north. Beautifully presented with fresh haricot verts over a bed of Jasmine rice. The bistro is small, quaint would be an understatement and the... More

Try catch of the day - I ate red fish caught in the Gulf of Mexico which is just 3 hours away. The side dish were best home potatoes I ever tasted - with a bit of garlic and black pepper, and out of this world beans. I chose tomato soup to accompany which was delicious too.

This is the second year in a row we have eaten dinner here for New Years Eve. The food is excellent and the service is great. We had a ribeye and lamb chops. Both were excellent. The grilled pound cake is amazing for dessert. The chef came out and greeted everyone. It is wonderful to enjoy such high quality food... More
