After reading all the reviews I thought heck what am I missing out on. So we made it a.point to stop in on our trip up to Canton. As someone said parking was a little hard. But got in and seated with little waiting. We were seated across from register. Prompt service for drinks. And I anticipated this Orange sauce... More

In Corsicana, if you ask anyone about OMI, they will tell you about their signature orange dip. This restaurant has been owned by one family for at least 3 generations. A family secret recipe is their orange dip which is served along with salsa & chips automatically when you are seated. It's addictive! Family that has moved away want to... More

They serve some of the best chips and salsa we ever had. Very unique salsa we have only found in a handful of places throughout Texas. I tried the chicken and pork enchiladas and both were excellent. They had more than enough meat and were so flavorful! The food amount was very generous. The prices were very reasonable for the... More

Enjoyed an early dinner here. Great light chips. My wife said best chicken enchiladas she has had; full of chicken. My plate was excellent and prepared just as I asked and hot out of the kitchen. Best refried beans and rice I've had. I normally mostly ignore them. Enchiladas and tamale and chili con carne very good. Older place, a... More

This place has been around forever. I was raised here and it was always the best food in town. Tortilla soup is good tasty with tortilla strips and avacado. Just the right touch of lime.

Ordered fajitas for two & had go digging through the veggies for the meat. Guess that's what they are doing now to hide another cut back while rising prices

My first time was a noon on a Wednesday. VERY crowded, and the cash register and front door make it very difficult to maneuver. Plus, you have to be seated, which makes for more confusion. So if you can make it past the Checkpoint Charley, it's two small dining rooms. Chairs are very close together. Get a booth if you... More

My wife and I are always on the lookout for good Tex-Mex and this is the one. The tamale, cheese enchiladas, cheese taco, meat taco and tostada with guacamole were excellent. But the Texas chili they put on top was one of the best we've had. The salsa was good and spicy. And the chips were thin and crispy. Service... More

We were on the road to Dallas & thought Mexican food sounded good. We had difficulty with Garmin finding the OMI. 3pm, not many customers there at that time. They no longer have chili rellanos so I got fajita nachos, beef were ok flavor wise but contained a lot of grissel. Took almost 30 min. to get out order. Beer... More

I have been to "OMI" several times over the last three or four years, and have never been impressed. The menu contains ordinary, everyday, ho-hum Mexican food. Some people talk about the "special" orange colored dip they serve with chips. It tastes like a mixture of mayo, mustard and ketchup. It does not grab me at all! Don't waste your... More
