I've known about Peggy Sue's for 27 years (and before that, Peggy's Beef Bar)--but for whatever reason, never visited. So glad we did! We had a great server, EXCELLENT brisket (very moist and flavorful--our server called it "luscious," and it was) and really good ribs. The pulled pork was fine (but not as memorable as the brisket) The sides +... More

My host recommend this place for the ribs. I had a pound of spare ribs with slaw and hoppin johns. The ribs were lacking in flavor but were falling off of the bone. I'm not a huge sauce person but I needed to put BBQ sauce on the ribs to eat them. The slaw was great, although my boyfriend doesn't... More

Had brisket and baby back ribs . Meat was tender and sauce was delicious. Broccoli was cooked just right the green beans were a little mushy. I wish I got the sauce on the side if it was possible. I would go back there again.

We walking in to a friendly welcome---had great service from our friendly young waitress who recommended some great choices. the brisket was outstanding and so was the pulled pork. The sauce is served warm and is incredible. Save room for a fried pie. We had the coconut custard and a cherry pie al a mode but the apricot and peach... More

Being in Texas you find some extrodinarily really good BBQ. Sorry to say but this is not one of them. Had the combo plate of pulled pork, brisquet and sausage. None of it had the smoky taste of anything. The meat tasted like it came out of the microwave and you had to drown it with some BBQ sauce to... More

We used to eat here 25 years ago, and the place looks and tastes the same as we remembered. Excellent BBQ with good sides. Friendly service. Place almost empty on our visit, except for multiple carry-out visits. I hope they stay in business! Indulge in a fried pie, you won't regret it.

Ate here for dinner. Great service, good food. Had the three meat comb with ribs, brisket and sausage. Overall a good restaurant close to SMU campus with a laid-back atmosphere. For desert I had the peach cobbler. So, so.

Thank C M
