We were seated promptly a little before 5pm on Friday night. I ordered an ultra in a bottle and was happy to find out that I got 2 for 1 on happy hour! We ordered squash puppies which come with an awesome jalapeño jelly. Yum!...More

Great location! Very Close to the JFK building and lots to see around! Mac and Cheese was great! Steak on the other hand was just ok, but for price ok. Steaks run around $18-$27. Great seats on patio.

Our waiter did not welcome us or even thank us when paying our bill. He may have spoken 10 words to us the whole meal. Very dull service and mediocre food (overcooked cheeseburger, average steak fries, overcooked mac & cheese, decent smoked sausage, tasty bbq...More

Food was good and service was excellent. We had no wait to get seated and staff was quick to assist. Did have some random lady allowing her small child to run around yelling while she walked behind the kid smiling. Only complaint...everything else was great

I had gone here a year earlier and had a mediocre experience, but given that they are one of the few options for reasonably priced steak downtown, we opted to give it another try. Last time, we had major issues with wait time for both...More

Description
Hoffbrau Steaks was voted "one of Dallas' Best Chicken Fried Steak" by D Magazine. A family owned steak house, rustic and casual with a unique genuine Texas atmosphere bordering the Convention Center, the 6th Floor Museum, Dealy Plaza, Perot Museum, Dallas World Aquarium as well as the Dallas Holocaust Museum. We serve USDA aged choice beef and a wide-ranging menu of chicken, quail, ribs, seafood, salads and burgers and more. We keep it Salt & Pepper simple and make everything from scratch with love. Daily lunch specials are delicious and affordable. Large TV's are perfect for watching sports at our full service bar and around the restaurant while sampling a brew from our extensive list of local, national and international beers. Our Dallas West End Hoffbrau Steaks has a large party room that can accommodate parties or groups up to 80. Happy Hour is from 3pm to 6pm Monday through Friday. Enjoy dining on our dog friendly great patio while you sip on a cold beer or any of our special Margarita's. Early to-mid 1800's German settlers, who helped develop the Hill Country of South Texas, also recreated their beloved "hoffbraus"or "beer gardens" where local townspeople, farmers and ranchers gathered to enjoy hearty meals and brewed beverages in a setting that was naturally casual yet humming with conversations and warm friendly service. What began as a "Hoffbrau" in South Texas truly was the origin of the Texas Hill Country Steakhouse... A tradition that our family has continued since opening Hoffbrau Steaks in 1978.Enjoy yourselves, our Texas hospitality... The great steaks and foods for which we are known. Many thanks, The Fogiel Family
