Dean Fearing is a recognized chef in Dallas and we had a great dinner years ago at the Mansion when he was there. This was our first time at Fearing's and we had a high expectation. My son was visiting us from New York City,...More

Chef Fearing stopped by to say hello and assured us that he would cook to accommodate various food preferences and allergies on the part of patrons at our table. He was as good as his word! The food was inventive, the presentations were impressive, and...More

Sunday night dinner with my son visiting SMU. $26 crab cake and short rib appetizer inexplicably served room temp. Yuck. My $50+ pork t bone entree was well conceived (seasoning etc) but served basically raw. Even the waiter was appalled. And it was so fatty...More

I found the food to be quite good (not outstanding) but the wait staff is attentive. If I were you, have a drink at the bar first -- IT'S LOVELY. Then go in for dinner. The hotel is gloriously decorated, too!
