It is my lunch destination for my Denton tour I give to real estate clients that are new to Denton. From the basket of sweet muffins to incredibly delicious salad plates, to a full afternoon tea, it's the place for making new friends over homemade, healthy foods.

Best place to meet friends for lunch. Bread basket is the bomb! Friendly staff, great menu of soups, salads, daily specials that fits every taste.

Neat little place on Square in Denton. Good menu with breakfast and lunch items available. Waitress was slow and rather scattered minded. I had buttermilk pancakes which were rather flavorless. One of our group ordered Eggs Benedict which were uneatable. A disappointing lunch except for the fellowship.

When I lived near this little place, I ate there at least three lunches a week. Fresh and delicious food. At the time we lived near by, they had a gift shop at the front of the store and the restaurant toward the back. Not sure about now but I loved taking friends there. It was the best place for... Exploring for a scheduled event and found just the right lunch spot. Like the fact that can get both breakfast or lunch after 11:00 AM. Also plenty of vegan choices. Friendly efficient staff, good food. We will be bringing our event lunch to the Chestnut Tree

My wife and I spent the day today in Denton being vendors in the Arts and Cars show. I asked for a lunch suggestion and was told to try the Chestnut Tree. I had the very best Turkey Club sandwich to-go I probably ever had. Fresh, cooked just the way I requested and the service was wonderful. Reasonably priced too.... More

I came here for a alumni class diner April 2015. Great food Came for lunch last week. I had the spinach salad with mushrooms. My hubby had a turkey club sandwich. The sandwich was enough for both of us. Service was prompt and courteous. We are from California where prices are higher, we didn't think it was overpriced. We came... More

Food was fabulous and service was excellent! The potato salad was the best I've had at a restaurant! Everything was fresh!

Good food, but has gotten so popular that it is too noisy. Perhaps seating for fewer people would help that.
