One of the best buffets we have ever encountered. The food was fresh, homemade and a good variety. We enjoyed enchiladas, taco soup, sliced brisket and probably the best chicken fried steak we've eaten on a buffet. We also enjoyed their fresh bread. The pies looked great but we were so full that we didn't have room to try them!!

Stopped in today for breakfast while on the way to Houston on business. Been here for lunch but never for breakfast. Great selection. Great food. Great (and friendly) servers. I noticed a few folks eating really good looking pancakes that were ordered from the menu rather than the buffet. We opted for the buffet. At $7.99, it's a hard deal... More

We had heard of the restaurant but never went. We liked the selection and the freshness of the food. We will go again!

Thought this might be a normal Texan BBQ joint. It was more of a buffet style restaurant with Mexican and BBQ. Service was good. The Only BBQ on the buffet was sliced beef and was tolerable but I didn't finish it because it got cold pretty quick an just didn't hold up. Stayed away from the Mexican food. Really only... More

We really enjoyed this place. The food was great and there was a lot of it. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The open faced steak sandwich was good. I thought it could use a little more flavor but I'm a little picky.

Sam's is known for the awesome buffet for breakfast and the one for lunch. I decided to order from the menu and ordered the chicken fried steak and was not disappointed. The steak was not greasy and was a good size, no fat at all. Mashed potatoes and green beans were great too. We will be eat at Sam's again!

Stopped in on a Sunday, just before the noon crowd. As usual, we were not disappointed. Items on the buffet were fried chicken, chicken fried steak, baked ham, sliced brisket, turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, gravies, green beans, corn, fried okra, and steamed cabbage along with all the lettuce and tomato salad fixings, which included potato salad, pea salad, broccoli... Awesome breakfast! The fruit was so fresh! The coffee was great! Mom and Pop feel to the place. Reasonably priced. Food was great. Eggs were a little runnier than I like my scrambled eggs, but they tasted good.

We wanted SAMs Original - not the same place? This was crowded, with a huge buffet. We ordered a turkey sandwich and side salad as well as a hamburger steak with peach cobbler and pinto beans. The sandwich was Ok, the salad sub par, Cole slaw instead of cobbler and hamburger steak average. Would have preferred a quieter venue. Prices... More

Dropped by here for lunch and was totally surprised. You can order off a menu or go with a buffet. I decided on the buffet, it had a large selection of salads (not for me!) and in the cooked section was brisket, sausage, chicken fried steak, fried okra etc....all home cooked and delicious. Oh, and free deserts. The pies were... More
