This was recommended by a friend. Ordered the half plate of beef, which comes with three sides. Just excellent all the way around. The beans, potato salad and slaw were just as tasty as the tender beef. What a great place to experience Texas BBQ. Most BBQ places have sides that taste like they are an after thought; not here.... Food- 4 stars Decor- 3 stars Service- 4 stars Good food and good service. The ribs are real good. Not the best I've had but solid choice. The beer is ice cold and yummy. So ice cold, it's frosty. When I am back in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I will stop by. Decor is a bit tired.

Went to Angelo's for lunch. Parking was difficult and there was a long line to order. Had the brisket and ribs platter with beans, potato salad, bread and a pickle. Ribs were outstanding with a moderately spiced rub. Brisket was tender and moist. All staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend trying here if you are in the area.

We'd heard Angelo's was one of the best barbecue places in Fort Worth. In a town where good barbecue is the norm, that's high praise. Maybe that praise is why I was a little disappointed. The barbecue was good--the ribs were some of the best I've tasted--but other than the ribs, the barbecue was just good Texas flavor. The jalapeño... More

I couldn't take a trip to Texas without sampling all three of the Texas food groups: Steak, Tex/Mex, and BBQ. This place is FUNKY and very local. Stuck in between car dealerships and industrial buildings, combined by a myriad of closed roads and detours, this place is definitely off the beaten track. But it is worth taking the extra time... I was a 3rd generation Angelo's customer and very loyal until one of the owners, Angelo's grandson Jason, showed me that he didn't care about that or if I ever came back. They advertise on Facebook to try a coupon service, FrogSaver at their place. I went in as I've none numerous times through the years to buy some bulk... More

Good as always great beef !!! Really miss the old style all chunk potato salad - now chunks (good) mixed with a fair amount of mashed. Machine mixed I guess. First visit was 1976 for me. (Remember the Judson 25 cent chocolate mints ?)

Better late than never, I always say. Can't believe I have not reviewed Angelo's before now, but I guess many of us have an unhappy tendency to take for granted some of those things that are nearest and dearest to us. Angelo's has been my go to barbecue destination in Fort Worth for the last 39 years, as has the... More
