I love this place I had octopus, dolmas and lamb chops for lunch. Everything was perfect. So I ordered some more food even though it wasn't hungry baklava and coffee

Decent service. The waiter accidentally added iced tea but he took it off bill. Decent decor. Decent hummus and pita appetizer. The roasted chicken and French fries were good. The macaroni casserole with béchamel sauce was ok. The green beans and Lima beans tasted like...out of a can and both were in the same flavorless tomato sauce. If by some chance they start fresh why would they be cooked to mush?More
We discovered Platia’s about 5 years ago and have been regulars ever since. Service is friendly and fantastic. Drinks are BYOB which is our favorite!!! The owner Sally is there most nights and is great to spend time with. Most of the waiters have been...on staff for years. I’ve tried most of the items on the menu and usually steer towards one of the sampler platters or the gyro platters. Be sure to get the Saganaki flaming cheese and yell “Opa”!More
Nice change of place going to a Greek restaurant. All the food was good especially the Yiros platter and Tzatziki.
It started when we told the hostess that we were a group of seven. She was aggravated that she had to move tables together. The waitress came and we all placed our order and advised her we needed separate checks. Our food came and she...hurriedly dropped it off and disappeared for the rest of our meal. The hostess/manager? Brought our check with everything on one ticket and said they do not do separate checks. The waitress never said a word. We felt like we were being rushed out. One of the least customer friendly restaurants I have been to in a long time.More
We arrived at 5:15 and there were already quite a few people eating, and by the time we left at 6:20 there were people waiting, so better to get there early if you don’t want to wait. So here are my thoughts… The atmosphere is...really lacking, so this is not a date-night place. Lots of families with kids ,also. It is BYOB, but they don’t have wine glasses, so bring your own or you will drink wine out of VERY SMALL pub- style glasses. We had the saganaki, which was good, but I’ve actually had better… not sure why? It was just kind of lacking flavor. For dinner I had the steak, which was really delicious! Perfectly marinated and easy to cut for a skirt steak. I had the roasted potatoes (tasted like the delicious potatoes my Greek grandmother made, ) and the Lima beans, which someone in a review said were yummy, but I found them mealy. My husband had a combo platter (not the vegetarian one). He swapped lamb souvlaki for the chicken. He loved the lamb and gyro meat. Both of us agreed the pastitsio was not good- pasta was undercooked (beyond even al dente) and it just had no discernible flavor. Service was good. Our waiter was there when we needed him, but not in our faces. Our meal was good- not sure if we would come back or not, but if we did, next time we have a better idea of what to order.More
Great Greek food. The octopus appetizer is delicious. The "giant beans" are my favorite anywhere. We frequent this place as it's not too far from our home.
The best in town. Authentic Greek Food, excellent for both lunch and dinner. Great servers and owner.
Don’t have much to compare it to and Greek isn’t something I eat often but it was great! I got the gyro plate and the meat was tender and flavorful and the tzatziki was nice and dilly. The only thing is I would have preferred...a salad instead of fries and rice although they were good too. Would come back here again when visiting Frisco!More
Visiting Frisco and saw this restaurant was close to our hotel. We love Greek food so decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and it was reasonably priced. We would definitely go back.
The inside was a bit too loud so we decided to sit outside. We tried several dishes, Aegean Pepper, chicken, Yiayia Mou and Mana Mou. They are all average and nothing too wow about it. A bit greasy for our taste. Our server disappeared for...quite a while.More
My 2nd time here and just as good, if not better than the 1st time. Hostess was the best as was our server. Friendly and courteous. There were 8 of us and the waitress did a great job of taking care of us. We ordered...numerous appetizers and entrees and all were fresh, hot and delicious. I will only say what I ordered and so happy I did. I got the stuffed pepper that was on a bed of rice and came with pita bread. I got the lima beans as a side and they were delicious, especially the tomato sauce they came in. Everyone raved about the service, quality and quantity. I live in Georgia but wish I lived closer.More
First time there and it was a wonderful experience. The menu was typical Greek fare. If you’re looking for an atmosphere and menu like Greektown in Chicago or other big cities this is not it. This is a quaint Frisco-ish restaurant. Food was very good...as was the service. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.More
My wife and I visited our daughter and her family in Frisco Tx., while there we had the opportunity to eat at Platia Kouzina (Greek Food). The wait was not to long considering the fact we had Seven in our party and the restaurant apparently...only had one area for a large party and the party there, after paying, were not leaving. The food and atmosphere were very good, but not great. The service was also satisfactory. The price was moderate and the quantities were ample. We would eat there again, no problem.More
An adventurous evening trying new food. The trio dip, seafood, salads and desserts were extraordinary. First time here and it won’t be our last. The service was great and the food was quite the treat. Highly recommend for “an out of the ordinary” evening.
