I had heard about there shrimp and grits, but could not spend $15 on a bowl. They did let me try them and it was good. When I asked if they could do half an order (since I have had bypass) they said yes but it would still be $15. So I decided to share with my daughter the shrimp... More

Farley Girls adheres to other restaurants' policies of charging the same for a full meal when there is a request for a half order. That way, the customer can still take a to-go box home, and the point-of-sale system calculates the meal correctly. There is no excuse for your dissatisfaction with the small number of shrimp and the 'mushy' fish... More

The restaurant is within walking distance from UTMB and unlike many restaurants on the island, has available parking next door. The staff all seemed dressed alike, so you cannot tell the difference between one of the two owners and the waitresses until they introduce themselves. The prices are average. I ordered their mile high meatloaf with mashed potatoes and onion... More

We went for brunch on a Saturday. I ordered the "breakfast bowl" which was not good at all, and I am not a picky eater. The menu did not say the entree was made with noodles, so I was surprised to see some type of egg noodle mixed throughout the entire dish. The spinach didn't seem to be properly drained... More

This is one of the best breakfast spots I have visited on Galveston Island. The food was excellent and delivered hot to your table. It was absolutely delicious.

We went here at the recommendation of family, who live on the island. The food was decent - but we could've gone to a diner, had the same quality of food, paid less and got served more quickly. At first I thought the service was slow because it was Mardi Gras weekend, but they actually had a sign inside the... More

You are correct! Mardi Gras weekend 'slams' just about every restaurant in Galveston on the particular weekend in which you visited Farley Girls Café. As a courtesy to our guests, we did post a sign of a 45-minute wait so that guests would not be surprised at the extended wait for their service. We are very pleased that your hosts... More

Farley Girls is just good solid food. They have excellent daily specials, especially on their bread pudding. If you go, you have to get the Boy Burger! It's a hamburger, with two grilled cheese sandwichs as buns

Have been here 3 times and the food is always excellent!!!!! Many different choices that are all great. We ordered two crafts of mimosa and they don't give you them till they bring the food out (which took 30 minutes). Both times was in group of 6 but half food came out 20 minutes before the rest of the food.... More

I usually love this place but today was a disaster. I spent over 40 dollars and am walking away dissatisfied. It took them 45 minutes to bring us our food which was cold by the time we got it.. Everyone around us was served before us.We sat there without even our drinks. The servicers were very busy but less than... More

Texas Monthly Magazine - "This bright, cheery cafe located near the Medical Center enjoys a legion of foodie fans. Weekday lunches feature great salads, sandwiches, po'boys, and one of our faves-tacos loaded with grilled fish, crunchy cabbage slaw, and a house-made rémoulade that brings it all together. On the weekends we return for a brunch of fluffy biscuits topped with sinfully rich cream gravy and a pitcher of mimosas with fresh squeezed OJ. Oh yeah."
