Stopped by for breakfast the other morning and really enjoyed this dive kinda place. Both of us had breakfast tacos - HUGE. The tortillas are home made and tasty. Very reasonably priced for the quality/quantity of the food. We stopped at a couple of other places for breakfast while on the island and they did not compare to Los Compas.... More

I went just after the lunch rush which I heard makes it crowded. They do not open for supper. I was greeted as soon as I entered. A waitress visited our table soon after to get our drink orders and give us menus. She brought out chips and salsa with the drinks and took our food orders. I ordered the... More

This place has terrific food. The chef/owner is from Costa Rica, but the food is mexican with a twist. Locals eat here often as well as tourist -- everything is great. CHEAP prices, and great food, try the green chilicitas if you love HEAT with an egg on top or the 5.00 grande breakfast burrito (HUGE). The tamales are homemade... More

I found this place through trip adviser and it was great. Trip adviser help find the place with a map. This place was a little place off the normal path and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Great mexican food. I had the breakfast burritos one with sausage, egg and cheese as well as the chorizo... More

The food is great. Dont judge this local place by the way it looks. This is in a little house & parking was challenging. But, we were greeted warmly when we walked in. Service was great. The food was authentic - be warned, the salsa is hot. We had an enchilda plate, a torta, kids quesadilla & a burrito. All... More

I was searching for a restaurant that the locals go to. Another Trip Advisor reviewer suggested Los Compas. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. No one greeted us when we walked in. We stood there for a minute wondering if we seat ourselves, or wait to be seated. Finally, we decided to just pick a table and sit... More

I wish there were 6 STARS😜. This place is a hidden gem for your mexican craving! Gorditas were fantastic. 4 taco plate was delicious. Mason plate was #1. In other words all was great at very good prices. BUT only breakfast or lunch😟. Prices are tad higher than website menu but well worth a visit or 2 or 3 or... More

OK, maybe not, but In my experience this is true. We've been there many times for breakfast, and it's always excellent. The huevos rancheros are top notch, and so are the chilequiles and the barbacoa. But...it's the flour tortillas. Seriously.
