Great baked goods, great food, and excellent service at the Sunflower Bakery and Cafe during the recent Galveston Historical Homes Tour. We have been going to Galveston and this event for years, and this is by far the best breakfast that we have enjoyed.

One rainy Monday morning, came here for breakfast before we venture out driving to San Antonio. Heather, our server was very attentive. We ordered pork chop with eggs and the chicken fried steak with eggs. Husband was satisfied with his chicken fried steak, while I found my pork chop a little too overcooked. Bread with jalapeño tasted good though. We... More

Always take the opportunity to have breakfast or brunch here when in Galveston. Usually have a bit of wait time but they are well organized with getting the crowd in and out timely. Food is great as well as the mimosas. The bakery has a good variety but you need to get there earlier in the day on the weekends... More

We had an awesome breakfast here. The service was excellent, loved our waiter. I had crab cakes with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Best crab cakes I've had in a long time. Even Gulf Shores restaurants weren't as good. My husband had an omelet and we both requested adding cheese grits to our orders. The portions are large and we... More

We went here for our last breakfast for the vacation. The waitress we had was great, attentive and helpful in suggestions. The big breakfast is plenty for anyone and hits the spot. The only negative was the time it took for the food, it was a bit long but the quality was well worth the wait.

My girlfriends and I spent the weekend in Galveston for the Historical Home Tours and had brunch here Sunday morning. The weather was perfect so we are outside. The food was amazing, but the flies were terrible. Be sure to enjoy a glass of their fresh squeezed orange juice. Get there early or you need to plan to have to... More

First, the place has a wonderful ambience, and my service was excellent. The menu was very appealing, especially the variety of specials--I'd go back just to try the corned beef hash, which from the description might be awesome. I really debated giving four stars, but two things were disappointing. And should change. First, the toast. This is a bakery--but the... More
