Looking for great coffee and service - you found it here. Coffee is about 50 cents less than that huge chain but with much better taste and quality. Really friendly and positive folks too. We've been in town for one day and have been twice.

Came to Texas to visit family and offered to take my niece to the high school across the street for conditioning. It was only an hour so I spent a lot of mornings at this coffee shop. They make a great latte and had lots of yummy muffins, bagels and something they compared to a "pig in the blanket". I... More

What a great coffee shop! It's clean and fresh with the wonderful smell of coffee inviting you inside. There is a definitely a "welcome home" feel. We ordered coffee and they gave us a sample of "Bi(g) Mama's Mississippi Spice Tea"! It was divine and we ordered it before we left. It's a family recipe and they keep it a... More

Not only is it the only place (apparently), but these two ladies are the nicest folks we met along the way (and we met a lot of very nice people). And it was really great espresso (and cappuccino), and they offered us honey, and everything else we needed. Note: when we stopped at a coffee shop in Hamilton TX, they... More

It's not Starbucks and that's great with me as I like the Hippo's regular coffee way more than I ever did Starbucks and I didn't have to remember a new jargon to get what I want, service is always with a smile, prompt and accurate. It's a consistent way to start your day off right in my book, prices are... More

Our ladies golfing group love this place, because we get our sandwiches made before we can find a table and sit down. They have all different kinds of coffee, teas, and even a drive thru. Very clean and friendly staff.

The bathroom facilities earns 5 stars. Very clean and hygienic. Several soaps are provided for the customer to try. The main area is Bed and Breakfast style... More

Didn't even get to go inside. First if you have a vehicle with low ground clearance, forget it! I scraped my front spoiler trying to turn up the hill, then dragged my gas tank trying to get out. There is no parking except handicap. There is an uneven dirt and rock area in back that I guess is supposed to... More

We were camping at Dinosaur Valley State Park and had to run into town to pick up a few forgotten things. I was in the middle of complaining to my husband about not having coffee when he turned into the parking lot of this little place. I was so excited that they offered my favorite coffee, caramel macchiato, AND his... More

My favorite is ordering my coffee or espresso sweetened with honey instead of sugar! If you don't see what you want, just tell them and if they will let you know if they can fix it for you. My only problem is I can't seem to know when they are open. Sometimes they sign is out and they are too!... More
