Not many people there, and yet they said it would be 1 hour wait to be seated, and then another hour before you eat. Seems like they are just trying to turn people away.

Brooke, Our wait times are always just our best guess. We tend to err on the long side so that our guests are not frustrated should the tables not turn as fast as we would hope. Our normal wait time, if were have a wait list, is about 30 minutes to an hour...sometimes more. As we cook all our food... More

Thought I would give a new review since it had been a while since my last. Ribs and brisket were solid 9 +. Onion rings are still some of the best ever. I like the extra seating and the bar. A true Texas Gem off the beaten path!

Some of the best barbecue in Texas. This was our second visit and it was as good as we remembered. The poor boy sandwiches are plenty for two. They are chocked full of tender well cooked brisket on a giant roll. We had pork ribs this time. They were not baby back, but large one that were exceptionally tender and... More

The small hamburger was 3/4 pounds of juicy ground beef with the fixings on Texas Toast! Choice of sides available but I had a stack of homemade onion rings! All for 9.95. My husband had a chicken po'boy with ample chunks of tender chicken and grilled onions served on long bread and French fries. Others in our party shared a... More

This restaurant is located at the end of a dirt road and has sawdust floors. If you want rustic, this is the place to get it! The kids loved writing their names on the table. You have to try the brisket nachos! They are served in a iron skillet and are delicious! Everything we ordered was great. BBQ sandwiches, chicken... More

We always try local favorites when we travel, and we loved this one! It's rustic, down a small country road, sawdust on the floor and a GREAT COUNTRY ATMOSPHERE. The ribs and rib-eyes were outstanding. We saw huge burgers that seemed very popular Great sides as well, onion rings and potato salad were our favorites. They have lots of business... More

We love the laid back place! Don't get in a hurry for your food! Just slow down and enjoy your family or friends! Food is always 5stars. We come very often and it has never disappointed us. Usually we have at least ten people! Great food!

Food here is fantastic. Huge portions so be prepared to share. Atmosphere is fun and family friendly. Can be busy on the weekends so prepare for a wait.

I dearly love good Texas barbecue, but my wife wasn't all that crazy about it until we ate at Loco Coyote - she is now. Although this restaurant is about 7 miles outside town, 3/4 mile down County Road 1004 (toward Hico). From Glen Rose, when you're looking for county road signs, the ones on your left are 1200 series... More
