Went in for breakfast. Enjoyed the breakfast burrito. Blueberry pancakes are delicious. Prices are reasonable. Lots of locals visiting, always a good sign

Grilled pimento cheese was wonderful. Cheeseburger was great. Peanut butter Cookie was a bit dry but pecan pie was tasty. Staff was friendly.

Went to eat here Sunday evening. Prices were high and portions were small. $25 for two burgers, fries and ice teas. Burgers were handformed, but were over cooked. I got 16 fries in my order. These are regular size fries. It looked like less than 1/2 an order. It did not matter, because they were cold and hard - inedible.... More

Friendly staff, lots of history, good iced tea and a great sandwich! I'm surprised this place isn't listed higher. You won't be sorry! Save room for pie! I did not have any but it looked amazing!

Exactly what you'd expect from a all local coffee shop and bakery ...Now add good food. We had breakfast and it was very good. Had bottomless coffee and were welcomed to stay as long as we wanted and never felt pushed to leave. Looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch someday soon.

I cannot believe what a great eggs and bacon breakfast I got for $4.25. The bacon was so delicious I wanted more. I am going to make it a point to no cook on Saturdays but to go here for breakfast every week. Wifi was also good. These ladies have been doing a good job for many many years now.... More

I was expecting Nutshell to be a great tasting breakfast experience, it looks like a great mom pop country breakfast place but nope it was very nasty and the breakfast looked like they have 6 year cook in the kitchen. They need lots of improvements including the grumpy grandmother on the cash register. I will not return. Oh and what's... More

We read the reviews and this place was even recommended by a local. We were the only ones in the place when we got there. No one was at the counter. We had to call out for someone to come help us. The woman who came to take our order was very rude. No smile. We didn't know what we... More

The Nutshell Eatery and Bakery is not a fancy place. Just a good Texas county diner with tasty bakery selections. Seating includes wooden booths and a few tables with folding metal chairs. The historic building was built as a saloon in the late 1800's and local legend has it that the bartender, Mr. St. John, was actually John Wilkes Booth...... More
