The Old Hickory Steakhouse is a great choice at the Gaylord Texan. The food is first class. A little pricey but the quality is well worth it. The waitstaff, not the hostess, was absolutely first class.

Excellent steakhouse, good wine selections, cordial and responsive service. A bit expensive for families, okay for business.
I attended a group dinner here and it was fantastic. The hors d'ouvres were excellent, especially the crab cakes. But the real star of the show was the filet mignon. Easily the best I've ever had. Tender, beautifully cooked, flavorful. The side dishes were good,...More
Three of us co-workers had dinner and it was wonderful. The staff was very attentive. The explained everything about the menu. Their recommendations were right on point. The design of the Men's room was weird with the saloon doors in such a tight space, but...More

Very nice steakhouse! We had a very large party (approximately 20), but they served us like we had 4. Nice pace, very friendly, and exceptional taste. I had the filet and it was extremely tender. Highly recommend for business or special personal evening.
My appetizer consisted of a vodka martini with 3 huge olives followed by dinner their Filet Mignon which was prepared to perfection! I also ordered the mushrooms which is more than enough to share between 2 to 4 people depending on how much you like...More
Incredible menu with a wide variety of choices. The wine list is comprehensive. The service was as good you would expect in such a great restaurant.
We had an excellent meal with our server (Barbara) making it very pleasant. The restaurant "bar" did not have Tanquera for my Martini, but the lobby bar did, so Barbara made the extra steps to make my Martini. My Wife and I both had the...More
