It isn’t often I feel moved to post a review but after this experience, how could I not? We are in town for the holiday weekend and this Steakhouse was highly recommended by several and I can see why. The place was beautiful! The ambiance and the sounds of live music from the lounge area really set the tone for the evening. We were seated in a booth in the first room to the right, which enabled us to look out and even see the chef and cooks working at an enthusiastic pace. The chef seems very jovial as we could see him conversing with some people dining at the counter next to the kitchen. Our server (Melodie) was another highlight of the evening. She must have had everything on the menu at some point because my wife asked several questions and Melodie knew the answer to all of them. She even recommended starting with Quail and Crabcake and both were outstanding. She also recommended her favorite salad. So we split the pear salad and it was amazing! So crisp, fresh and perfect for summer. For dinner my wife Karen went with the chef’s special which was filet that was cooked perfectly over some green beans with some special house sauce and shrimp. I had a Ribeye that was also perfectly prepared. Melodie recommended mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts which were a dynamite combination. As much as we wanted dessert there was no room but since everything our server suggested was incredible when she suggested Red Velvet, Karen and I both knew we should take one back to our hotel. That ended up being a very good decision. While we were waiting for dessert to go, the manger came by to say hello and ask how everything by was. While we were waiting for our dessert to go the manager came by to say hello. I always appreciate when the managers come by and thank us for coming in. It shows they really care. Karen and I eat out often, but we always go back to the places that makes us feel welcomed, valued and appreciated. Vic and Anthony’s certainly did that! I can’t wait to get back there again!!

Vic & Anthony's is simply one of the best treats you can reward yourself to when it comes to enjoying an incredible meal with top notch service from Ryan Hollyfield's team of skilled people that truly care about quality. Scott our waiter was everything you would want and hope for with his great attitude and attentive detail to our dining experience. Tilman should be damn proud of this team and the standard they set for the industry! Quail appetizers..amazing, steaks best in town and old fashions spot on.

This wonderful, upscale steak and seafood restaurant was a fantastic experience. The maple glazed quail was really good (I'd never had quail before!), as was the steak tartare and just about any steak you decide to order - we tried several steaks in our group, and each one was prepared to perfection. The sides (try the duck fat potatoes and the wild mushrooms) were also fabulous. The sommelier recommended several wines that were really good as well. Staff were attentive and friendly. This restaurant is not cheap, but is worth a visit for special occasions.

Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse in Houston provided an unsafe environment during New Year's Eve to all the guests that came in with reservations in advance. This is the first time that I rate an attraction, restaurant, and hotel this low, but it is necessary to mention the lack of preparation from management to host guests during a new year's eve celebration. Booking this reservation with months in advance, and being called three weeks prior to the reservation to request a credit card, one would think that this place with such a high reputation would manage this event well. Upon arriving to the restaurant on time to our 07:30 pm reservation, there were several people waiting inside and outside its establishment. Upon check in, one of the hostesses mentioned that our table was not ready yet and we were more than welcome to have a drink in the bar while we waited for our seat. Upon entering the bar, everyone was literally close to each other like a can of sardines or a disco pre-covid-19 times. Some people were not wearing masks, while others were next to each without proper distancing measures. We definitely did not feel safe and decided to wait next to the lobsters. We then found out from other guests that they have been waiting for over 45 minutes or one hour to get seated for their 06:45 reservation. They even felt upset as other guests were coming in and didn't know about the situation, while the restaurant continued to cram everyone inside. We decided to approach the hostess again, and informed her of the situation at hand to get no apology or even an estimated time of when we were going to be seated. At the end of the day, we cancelled our reservation, and ate at a different place where we were socially distant, felt safe, and people treated us the way a customer should be treated. My word of advice for management is to please consider their COVID-19 safety regulations before you put your customers' lives at risk in such major events. Such experience made it obvious of the lack of preparation to host them. Before thinking about revenue or sales, please consider the many lives that you will be putting in danger by creating such a disastrous experience. To guests, please consider not risking your lives for a piece of steak in this place. Due to this experience, we will definitely ever consider going to one of these steakhouses in the near future.

I have reviewed this steakhouse before, usually for dinner. The food and service is usually quite good. Lunch, not so much. On a Friday, my partner and I decided to have lunch here after a meeting downtown. We got to the restaurant about twenty minutes after it opened. We were the first guests. As we were about to be seated, we asked the young lady at the front if the music could be lowered because it was so loud we could barely hear her. We were seated and a wait person came to our table. The music was still so loud, we could barely hear her too. We again asked for the music to be lowered. We were told she would ask the manager about our request. After our ice tea was delivered, the music was still so loud we decided the restaurant didn’t care to lower the music so we left. So if you come for an early lunch, bring ear plugs. And here is a thought - when a restaurant first opens and there are not many guests yet, keep the music low. You can always raise the noise level as more guests arrive. And one other thought, has a guest in a “nice” restaurant ever asked that the manager turn up the music? NO! Loud music is a continuing problem in so many Houston restaurants!

stopped in here for a drink and dessert after dinner elsewhere with clients. It was the closest top tier place and an easy walk. The bar was nearly full, and the service was attentive and on point. The wine (by the glass) list was short and not that impressive, not on par with similar priced steak places. I ordered the top of the stack and it was all right - not a disappointment, but, I would have enjoyed a tier above, and would have gladly payed for it. The steaks I saw presented to others in the bar looked and smelled great, but once again, not anything over the top. The big problem was the music, live keyboard and vocalist, with heavy recorded backing tracks. The music was pop from 10 - 25 years ago, but not at all the style you expect in a steakhouse like this, and it was WAY TOO LOUD. Those of us at the bar had difficulty placing drink orders with the bar staff and didn't even try to converse with each other. I guess if I just want to eat/drink alone that's fine, but part of what draws some of us solo diners to a setting like this, is the chance to encounter another solo traveler with an interesting story or perspective. Overall, there was nothing wrong and nothing at all right about this visit.

We, with another couple went for dinner. The given table for four of us was decidedly small, barely could house water, bread, butter and drinks. The menu was standard upscale steakhouse, but quality is clearly downscale! The wedge salad was wilted. The steak, although well prepared was served in the midst of gooey mashed potato. The service, at best, was not attentive. Towards end, however, they appeared to be in a hurry to get us out! Perhaps this is a sign of mass merchandising good food!!

I will always remember my first time in Vic and Anthony’s, so very classy. As the sign reads as you enter,”proper dress attire only”, V and A has been a place we love to dress up be proud to enter. It is so much fun to see my lady in a lovely outfit! But the last 3 times we have been t V and A, it is like we are the only ones dressed up. Folks are in flip-flops and shorts. It as if they are at Uncle Louies Bar. Even the furniture in that set a very classy bar is now like a sports bar. Vic and Anthony’s, If you’re going to charge the five star rates for your food, please have the attire the five star restaurant restaurant

The meat was great , the service was vey excellent. We enjoyed every bite of it.. Although The slice of cheesecake was too big and kind of spoiled the meat taste ( not great as well ) and the wine was way over priced for the quality. Good but a 50 USD bottle turned into a120 USD bottle... no need But definitely a meat paradise.

Having been to Vic & Anthony’s before, I was already expecting good food to be part of the dining experience. What made this dinner even better was the next level service we received by our waiter Christopher. I’ve never had someone be able to read the room so to speak and tailor his service accordingly, including from what he recommended to just how he conversed with us. When we started looking for a starter to pair with our oysters, his recommendation of the Tuna Poke was perfect. Very fresh and tasty (would highly recommend). From there, the steakhouse usuals of steak, lobster tails, and king crab legs were all spot on. Finishing it off with the croissant bread pudding and red velvet torte made for a very memorable meal. I also very much appreciate the complimentary dessert for the birthday we were celebrating. I would absolutely come back for not only the food, but just as much for the service.

My wife & I flew in from Atlanta to Houston for game 6 of the world series. Vic & Anthony’s was highly recommended by our Uber driver. With close proximity to the stadium & a fine dining experience we could not resist. Our lovely waitress Vanessa was very pleasant & knowledgeable of the menu. She persuaded us to try the tomahawk steak which met all expectations of a prime cut of beef. The bread pudding was a delightful ending to a pre-game celebration. Thanks Vanessa. Til next time. Go Bravos!!

Houston has many fine steakhouses, but nothing is better than Vic & Anthony's. The menu has a huge selection of appetizers, salads, entrees, drinks, and deserts. I have never had a bad meal there and have eaten there dozens of times. As would be expected, the service is as good as anyone could expect anywhere.

Vic & Anthony’s is doing carry out but in addition doing a mini grocery. The meat they are selling is great first class prime. You should take advantage of this great opportunity and stock up on some great meat while available.

An exceptional experience. Our visit was for my mother's birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. From valet, hostess, bar, our server Mandy, and each course of the meal...EVERYTHING was top tier! We loved the live music. Mandy was very knowledgeable and her recommendations were spot on! I agree with her, you all do have the best crab cakes in Houston ☺️! The chef even honored our request for a signed menu wishing my mom Happy Birthday. I genuinely couldn’t be more pleased. Such a great atmosphere and the level of service and quality of food match. It was my first time but definitely won't be my last! Thank you so much for helping make my mom’s birthday that much more special.

To celebrate our 22nd anniversary, we spent the evening treated to top notch service, courtesy of Vinny, who quite literally knew the menu backwards and forwards. We started things off sharing a superb crab cake along with my personal favorite, pear and saga cheese salad. Vinny sold me on a 12 ounce filet topped with tempura shrimp over sautéed green beans and mashed potatoes with a spicy chili sauce. My wife enjoyed a perfectly done medium well filet. We ended the night sharing an exquisite caramel chocolate cake topped with milk chocolate crunch, candied macadamia nuts and gold flake. We come back time after time to this location for experiences like this. Thank you again, Vinny!
