I had lunch by myself while on a business trip to Houston. The restaurant has a prime location and most of the patrons seemed regulars. Wealthy regulars. A lot of champagne bottles even though it was lunch. Probably arriving in a Ferrari would get have got me a better table and service. Nevertheless the food was good, very good, and... More

One of my favorite places in the River Oaks area, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the food is good and the wine list is the best of all with a large selection of world wines at a modest markup, The environment is like being in Paris with dining outside and inside, it's a great time of year in April... This was my birthday wish and have dreamed of it all year. Wasn't sure if we would be comfortable and welcome as we are a modest country raised couple. From the moment we walked up to the door we were welcomed and felt as if we were walking into a friends gracious home. Our waiter Gary was great. We shared... More

Very good restaurant with a delicious options of fresh oyster from the east coast !! Super recommended. Escargot was also very good. Not my favorite because I thought that had so much unnecessary cheese. But ok, it was good and well prepared. However the best was the price of the sparking wine. Very good options with a reasonable prices. Service... More

We have been here mult times in the past yr...either with several couples...or just my wife and I...food is consistently good...it can get crowded...leading to a long wait...so reservations are always best...wine menu is extensive...but reasonably priced...the people watching is probably the highlight of the night...from young couples...to couples 40 yrs apart...to Cougars at the bar...it makes for an interesting... What happened to this place? Brunch on a Sunday was just a total mess, waiters were dropping things all around our table, there was a man with a big cloth on a broom stick wiping the condensation off the air conditioning vent only to have it all fall below onto the tables. Our waiter didn't write down our order and... More

If you are black, you get to be put in the back of the restaurant. If you are Asian, including Indians, you get to be stuck toward the min-back of the restaurant. If you are white but young and not wearing a jacket, you get to be put in the middle of the restaurant... The food? Comparing to the amazing... More

Once again my son and I enjoyed a couple late afternoon salads along with some great Mimosa's. I had the seafood salad and it was pretty good. My son had a salad with blackened prawns. We enjoyed a couple Mimosa's, My favorite is the Watermelon, but they didn't have it. My son said his favorite is grapefruit , but he... More

The food and service here is excellent. From the duck to the ribeye it would be hard to find better. The service is excellent and don't know how they pull it off as crowded as the place was on Saturday night. If you can, ask for the table just inside the door for a great view of the action at... Description
Brasserie 19, located in Houston’s 77019 neighborhood, offers a modern amalgamation of French brasserie fare and well-known American influences. The chef-driven menu utilizes the freshest seasonal ingredients in thoughtfully prepared dishes. Brasserie 19 boasts an expansive, carefully developed wine list dedicated to pricing just above retail – a philosophy pioneered by owners Charles Clark and Grant Cooper upon opening their first restaurant, Ibiza Food & Wine Bar. Brasserie 19's sophisticated yet unpretentious interiors are bathed in cool greys and whites, with antiqued wood and white marble used throughout. Grey leather banquettes and comfortable chairs are paired with white linen and butcher paper-covered tables create a casually elegant setting for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Brasserie 19 will serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as brunch on Sundays.
